I forget what the brand is but Monster Surge Protectors are just rebranded stuff. Im not saying its bad though, I would go with a Belkin PureAV filter, its solid,

I forget what the brand is but Monster Surge Protectors are just rebranded stuff. Im not saying its bad though, I would go with a Belkin PureAV filter, its solid, and I picked up mine for $40 on sale. IMHO, its one of the best investments especially when you have flat screens and other high valuable electronics. The best part about these surge protectors with filtering is that it tells you when its filtering surges and cleaning out noise coming in from the outlets.

Forget Monster, it's just overpriced hype.
The Belkin pureAV Silver is a good surge/filter, not sure if it will fix the TV issue though.
