Ok so what is the general opinion on using poly fiber fill to increase the perceived size of a sub box? If it's kosher with the techies (Big) i think

Ok so what is the general opinion on using poly fiber fill to increase the perceived size of a sub box? If it's kosher with the techies (Big) i think it could help out some of the guys trying to make spare tire boxes. For those that don't know it's essentially stuffing polyester pillow stuffing into a sub box (needs to be done correctly) to allow a smaller box to properly suspend a larger sub, and to cancel out some enclosure vibrations.

I honestly have never used the polyfill, I might in the future but still never used it.

It is generally recommended to use 1 pound per cu ft. This combination is equivelent to a 12 to 15% increase in enclosure volume.

I have use it before and it does work but I found it works best with small sub drivers. I think it helps reduce port noise in vented enclosures.
