Need a daily driver car soon!

I went looking for a car today and a 97 Miata (standard) sounds good It's like 5k If i can bring it down to 2-3k then I'm getting it.

When I initially bought the Z, it was going to be more of my fun car, while my DD was 2004 Civic Si. Now my civic sits in the garage while I drive my Z every day, Lol. I definitely understand where you are coming from in that you want a car that will be fun to drive so you'll take it instead of your Z.

I would go with a used SUV that you can find in manual like a 4runner or Jeep. I have bikes and other hobbies that need some good trunk space. If that's not your taste you can go with an e30/36 or subaru impreza rs.

Here's an article that might give you some ideas too:

'05-'06 altima...'03-'04 xterra...'07 versa...would all fit your budget. It all depends what you're looking for in the second vehicle???

the garage queen:
2010 370z nismo

the daily driver:
2010 new beetle

i got the new beetle without test driving it. surprisingly, it's quite fun to drive (i got a manual trans. one). the stereo sure sounds a whole lot better than the one on my nismo.

hehe. that's why i wanted to get the beetle

the reason being it has to be parked outside and we all know the cool kids won't mess with the car (since guys don't like it).

originally, i wanted to get a base camaro but i changed my mind after thinking about the consequences.

Yeah if your going to get a Camaro it HAS to be an SS, the V6 is a chick car. Depending on the area i wouldn't leave a Nismo outside either.

yep but getting an SS would defeat the purpose of getting a daily driver because it would be as expensive as the nismo

in my commute, i see most people would drive a mini van or a toyota prius. i am pretty sure, i am more happy driving the beetle (esp. since i don't like to drive automatic trans. cars)
