Nice! Which line is that? the automatic?

I wanted the chrono, and it only comes in Swiss Quartz, albeit a nice Swiss movement for quartz. The automatic is nice as well, but not a chrono, and an ETA 2824 movement. This guy sells direct, and his prices are fantastic.............. same movements and quality as watches costing 4 times the price. Mine is museum grade sapphire crystal w/anti reflective coating and 316L surgical grade stainless steel. At this price point, I am happy with swiss quartz, less maintenance than the automatic. It's all personal preference, you know the appeal of the mechanical automatic movements :p

Yea, I bet it's $42 to $44 at Total Wine based on their other nice bourbon pricing, thats a bargin for something of this reserve IMO.

I'm a scotch guy, but I am excited over this double oaked. Maybe it will make a bourbon guy? Doubt it, but doesn't mean I can't like one or two bourbons.

Nothing wrong with that. I tried to develop a taste for scotch many moons ago, and gave up after about 3 months................ just couldn't cultivate the taste for it :ugh2:

Both. At the end of the day it just had too much of a "wood" taste for me, unlike bourbon, where I can actually taste the nuances of the various brands.

Right now as a daily drinker I have been drinking Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage, aged 10 years, about $25 a bottle. Evan Willams has traditionally been a lower end bourbon. Toward the end of the 90's they decided to make a higher end single barrel variety and the result turned out to be very respectible. It has been reviewed very favorably by quite a few aficionado rags ;)

I'm hit or miss. For example, I was poured some blue label for my going away party and enjoyed it. But I had some glenlivet at the airport bar a couple days later and found it dreadful.

Everything from Dewars to Macallan to johnny walker. Glenlivet is good too.

There is also a place around here that makes a sorghum whiskey that is amazing. place is called AEppelTreow winery. the whiskey is called brown dog.
