Well I'm certainly glad to know that I'm not the only one who can't stand them eight legged demons from hell! So, when I lived in Hawaii, my co-worker was telling me how that morning her husband was showering before work as she was in the kitchen making breakfast. He was washing his hair when he noticed something dark in the middle between the inner curtain and the outer curtain. Not thinking much he just reached and knocked the curtain with the back of his hand. A giant cane spider about the size of your open palm dropped down into the tub at his feet and was all freaking out. His wife said, she heard the scream much like that guy in the movie Home Alone and looked down the hall to see her husband racing out of the bathroom buck nekkid. She said it was about THE MOST hilarious thing she had ever heard and seen until he came back with a shovel and killed it.

our boys in afganistan have to deal with those camel spiders, they have a really nasty bite google image camel spider, not for the faint of heart. Apparently when they feel threatened they will scream and then charge at you. Sorry about the pics guys but I couldnt resist. I dont mind spiders for the most part but when they get to a certain size I'll squeal like a little girl with ya.

on the bug related note, I got stung by a wasp this past december in my old car driving to lunch. I felt something on my neck so I just brushed my neck not really thinking about it, next thing I know I have this shooting pain in my neck so this time I really brushed my neck off vigorously. A fing wasp flew off me and onto the passenger side door. I wanted to kill the lil f*cker but he was outta reach so I put the window down and he crawled inside the door. WTF was a wasp doing in my car alive in december?!?!

Well, when I was in the philippines staying with family in a small town I had a REALLY close encounter with a big spider. It all happened when I was half awake in bed, I felt small crawling things all over my arms and just dismissed it as ants. Then about an hr. later woke up and found that I had rolled over and killed a big mom spider carrying its babies on its back ....I guess I was in shock cause i just stared at it for like 2 mins before I jumped off the top bunk and took a huge breather outside. Glad I didn't sleep with a black widow

I used to have a tarantula as a pet when I was a kid. I loved watching her feed on moths and grub worms. I was sad when she died...

When I moved to New Mexico, I started collecting scorpions to see if they would fight. The biggest scorpions in my area were the whip scorpions. Big, black, and fun to watch.

Now those things I hated when I was in NM. They're a bit freaky.

Those pics are photoshopped. And I'm going to tell myself that until I can sleep again.

No spider/car experiences yet thankfully, but I've had a bee fly in my window and land on my steering wheel. I pulled over so damned fast haha.

Never had a spider bite or a bee/wasp sting and I don't plan on starting now kthx.

They're definitely creepy, but I like messing with them and watching them. Weird weird "bugs." I don't always kill them, but it's usually easier.
