It sure would be nice to get caught up on my honey do list so I can have fun with my car. What a pain in my butt.

FWIW, I walked out of my job in mid-February of this year and have been living off of savings since. As a by-product of that decision, I have had so much time on my hands and has allowed me to finish all my projects :tiphat:

Decided to wash the cars again today. Read some great things about Turtle Wax's Ceramic/Graphene Paste Wax and supposedly lasting many months, and decided to give it a try.

Side note: I recently discovered a damp towel does a better job of not leaving behind water spots on the car, even when using regular faucet water from the tub.

I use wax as you dry to remove water spots. With the car still wet. Spray a section and use a cloth dry to wipe with.

She says it just sits in the garage, which it does and I don't see a problem with that. It's been paid off so no monthly outgoing costs, other than gas and insurance. I see alot of folks parting ways with their Z only to continuously regret it. I truly think the 370Z is the last of its kind, where it's the driver in control for the most part and not some computer doing everything for me.

Just for sh!ts and giggles, I did the generic Kelley blue Book appraisal, and coming in between $17K and $20K. Not bad for a 12-year old car.

Dont do it! There isn't a day that goes by that I dont regret selling Ms. Daizy. If I had a garage or even a carport to keep the elements off her, id still have her.

I used to use F-11. You just spray it on and buff till dry. You can use it on rims, glass and plastic. A bit on the pricy side, but well worth the results.

Yup, I learned my lesson on that a long time ago when I sold by 300zxtt. My current 370ztt I will keep for as long as I can. Why else would I have spent all the money I did on it. I never had any intentions to sell it. I really enjoy it when I have a chance to get out and drive it. I look forward to those days. I don't video it or post much stuff about it anymore. It's nice to be left alone for the most part.

So, out of the blue, I get an email from someone that found my resume on Indeed. They offered me a job that really peaked my interest. I have 50+ years experience in said job.

Job pays $30 an hour with opportunity for overtime. 401k, medical, dental and eyes. 3 weeks paid vacation. Company is located 20 minutes from my house. Its also for second shift 12 am - 8:30 am. Perfect hours for me.

So I call them back and get an interview for the next day. I show up to address provided and it's a "headhunter" an employment agency almost an hours drive from my house.

I complete application, go through a 35 minute interview and was told the job is mine, when can I start? I said it's only right to give my current employer 2 weeks notice but I'm not that important and can probably start in a couple.of days. She says great, she be in touch after she talks to business owner.

A week goes by, I dont hear anything so I call the headhunter and she doesnt answer the phone or texts. LOL! I think ya'll see where this is going...

So two weeks go by and I get an email from the headhunter offering same exact job. I call her back and ask her what's going on? She was like oh, I didnt realize it was you. She said the owner decided to go a different route.

So now that I understand what's going on, I tell her flat out that age discrimination is against the law. I told her not to worry, I would never work for anybody that didnt want me there. Been there, done that, it's a horrible experience,.right VTEC? LOL!

Its been about six months since then and I just got another email looking for someone with my experience to desperately fill the position. I dont want the job, but I'm going to play the game again, but this time I'm going to ask.for less than what they're offering in the hopes that I get hired and get to tell them to GFYS. :stirthepot:

Yea, I just couldn't see letting a great car like that get trashed sitting outside. I got good money for her, but still miss her.

I'm gonna look into that. There are so many products out there now, and it's like getting sucked into a black hole when researching these.

There's apparently rinseless AND waterless car washes  Call me old school, but a "rinseless" and "waterless" car wash just can't co-exist. That's like trying to use hand sanitizer to all over to "shower".

I won't be selling my Z. Aside from it being a solid car, just the history and attachment I have with her. The car sat nearly for 4 years because of the stupid CSC (between actually getting the parts, being able to find a reputable shop, getting an appt with the shop, etc.), and I remember thinking to myself how I longed for when I was able to drive her more than 7 miles every other week. Now that she is fully functional again, she still sits in the garage and still only gets driven every other week, but now that's by choice and each drive is more like 40 miles.

Just got back from my supermarket in Northern GA. Seems like there is some kind of protest going on today. A couple of dudes with man buns and a he/she with blue hair approached me spouting some nosense. I asked them how much they were getting paid to make fools of themselves. They laughed, I laughed, story over.

Finished up the chicken coup today. Boy am I glad that is done. I need to mow grass, but it keeps freaking raining every day. Ugg, annoying.

I love getting a workout, but I ABSOLUTELY hate mowing the lawn. While our HOA takes care of the front lawns, I'm responsible for the backyard. One of the first things I bought upon moving here was a riding lawn mower and a weed whacker.

Took the Z out today for her bi-weekly drive. CSC was replaced in 09.2024, and I still have not hit a 1K miles post-replacement. Took it really easy the 1st 500 miles, and then started going up to 4.5K rpms. Can't really notice the initial lower engagement point anymore and the shifts are getting smoother/easier to get into gear. Odo is currently at 41.5K miles.

I haven't touched my Z since last Nov. :shakes head: Needs an oil change and the diff needs a fluid change. Plus 2 front tires.

LOL, Amen to that. I haven't had a chance to drive mine in a couple of weeks. I want to try out my new boost ramp in 2nd and 3rd. I also want to experience my new intake Bellmouths and air filters to see if what I felt last time happens again. My wife keeps cracking the whip on me for her honey do list.

I much rather change the diff. than the oil. Much less steps involved. In fact, my car is stock, so I didn't even have to lift the car to change out the diff. fluid.

He doesn't want to put on the miles :rofl2:

With the prices on the 370Z's dropping, I am seeing more of these riced out by kids. Just for sh!ts and giggles, I decided to Google-search the VIN of my '09 just to see what life it is living, and it doesn't appear to have been taken care of based on the photos from a dealership that sold it again.
