So just for sh!ts and giggles, I test drove a new Acura Integra Type S. It's been a while since I have been in the driver's seat of a Honda, but this thing MOVES and is fun to drive! But, as with all modern cars, too much technology/electronics IMO.

I dont remember what year it started in the Z but I had it in 2017. It wasn't obnoxious like the Dodge, but it was there. If I remeber correctly the only way to disable it was to change out the radio head unit.

Yea, it seems like they're all putting wheels on a phone. When I was researching cars for my wife the biggest knock on the Mazda we got was there was no "touchscreen".

They didnt care about the rock solid reliability, a non turbo 4 banger and a REAL 6 speed auto ransmission. It was all about the size of the cup holders and no touchscreen.

Oh, and the $500 navigation system the dealer wanted push on me turns out to be a SIM Card I got off Amazon for $35. Works like a charm.

Yikes. I guess this is no different than the kids putting fart cans on their vehicles: All sound and no actionable purpose.

And this would absolutely piss me off.

This is one of the biggest reasons I am holding onto my Z. It seems like the 370Z's are the last to where it's lesser with the electronic components (compared to today's standards), a NA V6, and more of a driver's car vs a computer doing everything for me. I also don't like how all auto manufacturers are going from NA V8's to V6 turbo, NA V6's to I4 turbo, etc.

Washed the cars and slapped a double coat of NuFinish 3-in1. Even using a very small amount on a damp towel, this stuff dries fast and requires alot more effort to wipe off than traditional wax.

Ugg, it's raining again. It is supposed to rain the rest of the week. We have a storm off the coast.

Have friends from Philly coming in for the weekend. They want to go to the Pirates-Phillies ball game on Saturday. It's suppose to rain all weekend. :shakes head:

Been fighting a head cold the past couple days. The last time I was sick was with COVID, and this is a walk in the park in comparison, but still sucks, esp. since I had to skip the gym.

And yes, rain here as well. And rain absolutely pisses me off. And we are supposed to be getting Saharan Desert dust. How does dust particles make it across the other side of the world??? If I take a handful of sand and throw it, it will maybe go 5 feet before falling to the ground.

She says it just sits in the garage, which it does and I don't see a problem with that. It's been paid off so no monthly outgoing costs, other than gas and insurance. I see alot of folks parting ways with their Z only to continuously regret it. I truly think the 370Z is the last of its kind, where it's the driver in control for the most part and not some computer doing everything for me.

Just for sh!ts and giggles, I did the generic Kelley blue Book appraisal, and coming in between $17K and $20K. Not bad for a 12-year old car.

Apparently, GA is going to be getting in on that action as well. So rain, smoke, and desert dust (BTW, the dust will mix with the rain so it'll look like it's raining sh!twater)....literally the perfect storm, no pun intended.

My neighbors have told me it got bad last year and they had to pressure wash the outside of their homes to get rid of the dust :mad:
