While in the process of dropping the trans, I believe I found my never-to-be-sufficiently-damned rattle.
"Lost" the damn thing when I was replacing the hoses two years ago; put a new clamp on instead. I have no idea how I'm going to deal with it, without draining the coolant and pulling the hose. Or pulling the header. There is precisely zero room to hold the clamp and put it on the end of the hose. ![]() Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk |

But seriously, that's two bands of spring steel. Cutters won't touch it, if they could even reach it. And given that it's right next to O2 sensor wiring and circling a coolant hardline, I have zero confidence in using the extended cable dremel thing that I have. Maybe if I had thin, wiry arms like Bill, but alas...

There's just so much fvuckedupedness here I can't even summarize it. But I'll try. Basically, the vaccination panel appointed by the gov't thinks nursing home residents and older folks are better off dying, because they feel the overriding point of their job is to remedy "health inequity."
https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/05/h...gtype=Homepage Quotes from the article: "Historically, the committee relied on scientific evidence to inform its decisions. But now the members are weighing social justice concerns as well." Marc Lipsitch, an infectious-disease epidemiologist at Harvard’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health, argued that teachers should not be included as essential workers, if a central goal of the committee is to reduce health inequities. “Teachers have middle-class salaries, are very often white, and they have college degrees,” he said. “Older populations are whiter, ” Dr. Schmidt said. “Society is structured in a way that enables them to live longer. Instead of giving additional health benefits to those who already had more of them, we can start to level the playing field a bit.” "Still, some people believe it is wrong to give racial and socioeconomic equity more weight than who is most likely to die."
