Good morning guyZ,
A little cooler around here today with highs in the mid to upper 80s.
Had a wild storm blow through here last evening dropping a little over a 1/2” of rain which we desperately needed, but the storm left a lot of wind damage. I had two small trees come down and a lot of branches and twigs.

So it’s time to get this party started and get things cleaned up :hello:

BettyZ 07-11-2020 08:01 AM

Hola itcheZ. 8am and it's already 80.

It was a tad bit breezy on this side of the state too. Thankfully no trees down.

73 this fine morning.

SouthArk370Z 07-11-2020 08:52 AM

83° with a heat index of 101° at 0745 (Central). A buddy came over to swap tires on his Suburban. I worked up quite a sweat just watching.

Rusty 07-11-2020 09:44 AM

:hello:

Got kicked out of #1 son's house. He has a house inspection going on. We're going to stay at Chris's brother's house for a few days. Having a BBQ there today for the whole family. :yum:

Cigar in hand and putzing around the garage. Thinking I should install these rotors, only thinking about it though. :icon17:

yeah, someday. :icon17: Today is try to find some Philips LEDs for daytime running lamps. I have the wires up there from factory and I just need to find some that fit the fuji bumper openings. I heard there is another stimulus check coming out soon so I need to draw up a plan of where to mount the 'Parking assist' heads and the DRLs. Although I always drive like a grandpa...

madwi 07-11-2020 09:56 AM

I need to think of a use for these two OSB sheets. Hate to burn them up and make JC cry but they need to be gone outta here.

madwi 07-11-2020 10:07 AM

Jar got the wheels spinning about doing up the audio in garage.

I have two FM receivers and they are so old they dont have any inputs and only one large 6.35mm output for headphones.
Edit* one has inputs for rca type connectors, I bet a 3.5mm split to that would work.

Wow...I’ve probably bought 5-6 Onkyo receivers over my life time. The newest one is 4k and powers everything in my movie room. Then I have an older one that is in the living room but it’s only function is to power the speakers on the patio.

Yeah, these are probably mid-80s era. The Sony has a tape deck built in, so Ive got that going for me, which is nice. I gave my good Onkyo to my cousin when she went through her divorce. Shoulda kept that one :icon17:

madwi 07-11-2020 11:19 AM

Trying to find an all in one type unit. Networked, one or two HDMI in-> one out, FM, bluetooth, wireless/wired, 3.5mm audio input. Not asking for much.

SouthArk370Z 07-11-2020 11:24 AM

My garage setup is an old WinXP laptop running foobar2000, a USB HDD with MP3s, FLACs, APEs, etc, and some old Harman-Kardon powered computer speakers. I set foobar to random play and slap the space bar if I want to skip a song. It will get loud enough to make conversation difficult but it won't blow you out of the garage.

I am getting spoiled with voice commands, especially when a song I hate comes on while im under the car.

madwi 07-11-2020 11:32 AM

It would be really nice to have a receiver be able to pull movies or music from a VM running Plex or something like it and still be able to use voice commands from Alexa to control music from their streaming service.

Pretty sure my Onkyo has all that, but I don’t recall if I hooked it up to the WiFi.
