Closing your eyes adds at least .75 inches?

I think it's that slight lean back from the whiskey wobbles that added the quarter inch of height to the measuring tape.

I recently modified e brake handles for a couple of people and today a guy on facebook asked me if I could do one for him. I gave him a price, which he agreed to and I then sent him the link to Shift Solutions (that's who I get the handles through) and told him to pick out a color for both the handle and button. I haven't heard back from him since. I think he must have figured he could buy the handle himself and it would just slip right over the stock handle. That's not even close. The stock handle has to be extensively modified in order to install an aftermarket handle. He's going to be in for a rude awakening if that's what he did. :rofl2:

What kind of stuff you do? Inquiring minds want to know.

I hear both of our wallets opening. Also, that website he mentioned has some fun shift knobs.i like the 5th and 6th gear one being ticket and jail. I need to find out thread sizes. I may have to buy one.

An intern we had for the last couple days overheard us talking about our coworker who tested positive for covid-19. He was like, "oh, you have someone here that got it?" I couldn't help but tell him yeah... and actually you have been sitting at his desk." I'm such an a$$.

BoneZ 07-10-2020 08:38 PM

Good evening all you sexy sexy Z people.

This is where I got the idea from but to use the shift solutions handle and button there's a lot more fabrication. Especially the button, it doesn't slip over the 370Z button like the nrg does.

I did also tell him that he was on vacation for two weeks and tested positive before he came back, so the desk has actuality been vacant for over a month. I think he was safe.

I got to know Kevin (the owner really well), I've been working with them on making aluminum climate control knobs in a bunch of different colors (they have pictures on their website showing what they've done on other makes). That project has been temporarily put on hold though due to the covid situation.

Leingod 07-10-2020 08:49 PM

I need this in my life. What's your rate? That handle in carbon black with red aluminum ends and a unicorn gloss button sound wicked fun. Throw in an Alcantara boot cover and call it a day.

The stock shift solution handles are either black or silver, they'll do custom colors for an extra charge. You're looking at the unicorn sparkle button? Between the handle (black or silver)/button, alcantara boot and a used stock e brake handle, you're looking at right around $200.00 for parts and around $15.00 to ship. I wouldn't charge any labor.
