I used to live in the heart of the ghetto in Oakland. You can hear gunshots every night. Worst area I lived, best neighbor I ever had.

Zoren 370 07-14-2020 11:49 AM

Where is my pal Rusty he has not checked in yet!

KingZTX 07-14-2020 12:04 PM

Afternoon all.

Lots to do today. Ive become my fathers secretary as I line up different areas of handy-work to come and fix up little bits on the house before we sell it.

A couple of maintenance items lined up for the Z as well. Finally going to be sending off the Blackstone oil test--as a reminder, my oil plug came undone after my most recent change (about 3 1/2mo ago, 3.2kmi) and I dumped 6qt throughout my neighborhood. No oil pressure light, which Ive been told is the biggest deal. Car has been doing okay since then, but I did have my fuel pump replaced for what seemed to be an unrelated issue. Ive had many reassurances, but Blackstone seems like the final way to put my mind at ease.

Have a great and safe day everyone :driving:

Its routine for me to visit a coffee shop nearby around noon every day. Same order every time.

The girls in the area are starting to catch on. Thank you Texas sunlight, they like the purple :bowrofl:

What he is growing has almost no THC. It's mainly for the oil.

JARblue 07-14-2020 02:17 PM

Hey Betty, did you get the large or standard size on your Sparco Chrono Road seat?

WTS: Like-new 1/1 custom OEM shift knob! Hands not included.

Leather in good condition with visible gear indicators. $0 OBO, shipping at buyer's expense. No lowballers :shakes head:

The abstract design elements present in this one-off shift knob are representative of a pair of vise grips, and just how frustrating it is to take off this Loctite POS. Chrome delete too!

PMs cleared. I know how much traffic this is going to attract.

Leingod 07-14-2020 03:03 PM

I really should make a DIY for shift knob removal. Wrap the thing in e-tape with a whole roll. Then wrap over the e-tape with gaffer's tape until it's the size of your fist. Then buy the big pipe wrench from HF for $20 and have at it.

I put a shop rag over the knob. Wrapped duct tape around the knob. And used a strap wrench.

I broke two strap wrenches and it took visegrips on shaft and pipe wrench on the knob to break it loose.

I tried 2 different strap wrenches, wouldn't budge. I used a 3' pipe wrench and I needed the pipe wrench all the way until the last thread. My 2014, it came off by hand. :icon14:
