1 ticket and the insurance rate rise is far above what the escort max360 I'm looking at upgrading to will cost. My escort IX has paid for itself may times over and when paired with escort live plus google maps and waze it's mostly worry free

I like having both, the escort and the uniden.

A cobra is the worst detector ever. I would suggest you watch Vortex Radar on Youtube. He won't even review one because they suck so bad. The Uniden R3 is a great detector. That is in my vette. I am still using my old trusty Escort Redline in my Z. It is chatty due to the blind spot monitors on newer cars on K band but I can hit the mute button with ease. Both the Redline and R3 will catch the KA band 5 miles out at least.

Yeah, I run the R3 in the Z, and the escort in the QX.. its a nice setup.
