It’s nice. It has SS corrugated trays that sit between the burners and the grates. They are perforated to direct the heat directly to the grates. You get direct heat on the grilling surface instead of making a big oven like a Weber or similar does.

no it's an expensive problem lol

been talking with my pops on things to do.

might bulldoze the current one, extend my property since its the woods but still have about 30ft i can go back, then build a 3-4 car one back there and not have a 90 degree turn to head into the garage which i currently have to do.

maybe do the back 2 bays straight in and do an angle to the 3rd.4th bays on the left just to make it nice to look at. plus the middle angle would give some bonus space between them.

Be sure to build it tall enough so that 4 post lifts will fit so you can double the amount of storage space. Then make sure you have enough room room for the 2 post lift(s). Oh and build another shed for the lawn ********. :icon17:

Hope you all have a great day.

My fiancee couldn't wait, she planted stuff the end of March. Needless to say, last week, we had to cover all the plants with old sheets to keep the frost off. We still lost 2 tomato & 2 pepper plants. :icon14:

I wanted to build a giant garage with a living space attached but the building codes and insurance and zoning was a nightmare of red tape.

Leingod 04-22-2020 08:52 AM

And I'm over here contemplating if $325 for that spoiler was a lot of money for me to spend in these times or not. Lol. Not like my job stands a chance of going anywhere anytime soon. Exchange admin for a big bank seems fairly secure.

I love having an Austin address, not being incorporated, and not having an HOA. The county doesn't give a flying fck what I build; I don't even have to pull permits :D

absolutely.

my pops biggest regret with the garage he built was the ceiling isnt tall enough for an suv on a lift and most big lifts we would have to cut the ceiling lol

Same. It is nice having a bank job that is mandated by the feds. If my job ever goes, I figure there will be much larger issues afoot than unemployment.

FPenvy 04-22-2020 09:08 AM

idk why but decided to look at google news......first big section is about how elections will be affected by corona  this was followed by white GA governor reopening the state vs black mayors.....really?

so top 2 stories in the world according to google is political and racial. what a surprise.

this is why no one believe corona is a real thing lol

I've looked at just replacing 3-4 joists with a high cathedral type. would keep same roofline ect but a car would be able to go max height. Decided I dont want to buy an suv ever and will save myself the trouble and money. :icon17: I have a load of space under the Z right now with the ceiling height as is.

yep. if the hospital goes dark and they dont care; Rusty, ghostvette and a few others will be doing bird calls in the wilderness to communicate with each other at that point. :icon17: :icon17:

My wife and I fantasize about our “dream house”. It would be about the size of the current one but with a bigger kitchen, single story bc getting older etc, and it would have two two car garages attached and a 3 car detached behind the house with extra high doors and ceiling plus extra space for storage etc.

Then we come back to reality. Would need to win the lottery. This place is just fine.

That’s a damn good idea, our garage has an attic, we could in theory one day do something like that. Just need to find out if the concrete slab can handle the 4 post lift...:stirthepot:

Besides, modding your gtr, no r8 is gonna match that car $$ for $$. The gtr is the supercar for the Everyman and maintenance etc is cheap compared to just about anything else at that performance level, Porsche, Lamborghini, mclaren, etc.

Is that why they call the GTR in the car world...Gorilla? ...ops I mean Godzilla!

Yes for JDM’s everyday!!

You see short people are fast ...Spoiler!

4" thick slab and no more than 1/4" slope per 4", that is for my bendpak. I think those numbers are correct :ugh2: The weight is distributed over a large area with the 4 posts. I love mine.

madwi 04-22-2020 09:27 AM

oh and i didnt bolt mine down and it is solid. you can even get a caster kit for moving the lift (no car on it) around the garage. I hard wired mine to breaker box but you can easily toss a plug end on it and it would be "mobile".

Funny you said that... yesterday was actually looking how the GTR sales market looks like....Im surprised the Nismo GTRs still at 100K+

The 09’s are down to 45K to 49K with 20K + miles.

Not gonna lie, that picture made me a little bit happy in the pants. :happydance:

We’re an end unit townhouse so our slab is either 6 or 8” thick since foundation code here for multi unit vs single family. Sounds like I’m gtg if I raise the ceiling.

Actually, the garage may only be 4” thick with the house being 8” iirc, either way tho, should still be okay...
