Went for a 6 hr cruise today, saw some eye candy for Bonez to look at....

I had two slices and it hit me like a freaking tank. I hadnt eaten yet today so that didnt help.

Broiled salmon here. Also got a swordfish steak because Susan has apparently never had it before.

I have it going in a sous vide bath right now set at 130f. I'll just hard sear in cast iron afterwards.

Salmon in the sous vide then hit in the cast iron is amazing. Our favorite way to do it now. A little fresh dill and lemon with a couple pats of butter in the bag and into the bath.

I cant imagine it would be full unless there is some major AAA baseball game going on. If that is the case, there is plenty of decent places around. The Amway Grand Plaza downtown, owned by Devos, is a nice place and I think just had a face lift.

Downtown Grand Rapids is just about 10 minutes from my place so anything around there would be OK. Just make sure they have decent parking. There is the air bnb stuff around Rockford area you can check out.

Get it registered as an ESA (emotional support animal) for like $20. Then, they are able to go with you everywhere and free of charge.

During my time as a property manager, I would see countless people bring in ESA documents, to which our attorneys would call them BS documents but we still had to honor, for their pets to avoid paying a pet fee and/or bringing in a restricted breed.

I do as large of a filet that will fit into the cast iron pan. last filet was gigantic. When I sous vide I do 109F for 45 minutes and then I put skin side down in the cast iron with some butter spooned over the filet. plate when skin is crunchy.
The flesh stays really moist and has a firm texture.
