Bunk. You got mail!

JARblue 05-14-2020 08:29 AM

The dart board I got is legit. Comes with 3 threaded holes in the back including rubber stoppers to level the face and stabilize the board. Extremely well designed. My old one was basically the next best dart board out there, and this one is clearly on another level

Oh, Madwi, I think you were talking about the Harbor Freight tool cabinets? The gf wanted to go there the other day to pick up a saw, and I was looking at them. The legs are kinda wobbly on them.

:iagree:

One of the reasons I haven't purchased any of the Harbor Freight tool chests is because I know the quality is lacking and I'm not sold on the value of them. Rather spend a bit more and get something I know is built better.

I have a smaller 2 drawer version of a similiar style with the craftsman name on it and it is OK. Its not terrible but not great.

The HF legs are thin aluminum. I had the two shelf push cart and no matter how much you tighten the bolt/nut, its wobbly. That said, Im still thinking of getting their tool chest...lol
I had a craftsman chest. It wasnt too bad because the drawers went all the way down to the wheels. it got stolen, with all my tools in it. :eekdance:

Craftsman makes a good chest. I had the 6 drawer roll away and 12 drawer top chest before I bought a bigger one from the crack dealer. I should have skipped the one I got and just went straight to the 3 bank roll cab I've got now. :ugh2:
But it would have been the 3 bank lower and the 3 bank top... and daf if I'd know how to move that. The 3 bank I've got now has to be moved by flat bed tow truck.....:bowrofl:

At this point, I just need a chest..lol I have big tool bag I have my tools in, and even then I still have tools here and there, not to mention power tools laying around everywhere as well. I have to dump the bag every time I need a certain socket and its heavy AF. :shakes head:

I've started to buy smaller tool bags for things that are getting removed from the tool chest as I acquire more tools. I am trying to keep the bags organized, like for clamps or specialty tools or whatever. I highly recommend socket storage with visible sizes when you get your chest. Nothing like knowing you're pulling the socket size you're looking for the first time, every time

That was common sight at the machine shop. A new hire would start and the flat bed would roll up with their Kennedy box strapped on it.

It's supposed to start raining here tomorrow afternoon. I think it's supposed to stop on Sunday morning :ugh:

I have their 44 inch cabinet and it's surprisingly well-built. The sheet steel where the wheels on the rolling chest are mounted bends easily.

We've got a flash flood watch on now because of heavy rains to the north of us (Platte City, St Joe, that area). It's supposed to start raining off and on starting about 2 pm this afternoon through Saturday morning. I've got an appointment Friday afternoon to have the Z tinted..... :eekdance:

I will say it is the smaller mobile chest that I'm typically looking at that I find it hard to justify the value. Their larger chests are definitely made a little better with a better value. I remember watching a YT video a few years back of a guy that reinforced the mounting area for the casters that looked pretty easy to DIY.

I really need a 44 inch chest but I'm trying to avoid buying one. I don't have room in the garage just yet - I need to install some of these damn car parts that are taking up all my room  :rofl2:

lol the wheels can go in the living room :D Actually they'll probably go into storage until I need new tires on the Lexus. In the meantime I'm going to try and trade the rear wheels for front wheels so I can run a square set on the Lexus

I replied to you on the FS thread:

Hold off on sending it until I get the shipping cost for everything, so you dont have to keep PP'ing.

But seriously, the 72" box I have has 2 drawers that will handle my 1/2" drive breaker that's 48" long. The cheater pipe is propped in a corner, I don't store that in the box. :ugh2:
