I've always felt that if I'm going to make a deal with some form of superior being, I gotta keep it realistic. Worst thing you can do is overpromise something to an omnipotent being. They'll deny your request before you even finish it.

My prayers are typically in the form of, "God if you do ______, I'll flush the toilet next time I'm in a public bathroom" or "God if you do ______, I will try to not get angry at the next customer service rep I speak to on the phone." You know, try and keep it within the realm of reason
