That’s more like it. I’m IT challenged. I’m more like , ‘Power Button = On/Off’. If problem exists reboot. No fix, call IT.

That’s how we fixed electronics in the 80s. I still remember holding reset and slapping the side of my NES so it would load.

The relay here is like the power button. When it gets a signal from the computer, it closes the circuit and turns on the outlet. That powers up the device thats plugged into it.
So say the humidity gets below the low threshold of 70%, the sensor inside the tank sends a signal to the computer. The computer sends a small electrical signal to the relay which then closes the circuit letting the electricity flow turning on the fogger which raises the humidity in the tank. It runs for a set amount of time and then the computer turns off the relay, opening the circuit, turning off the fogger.

yep, same concept here. The raspberry Pi is the gateway to the network/interwebs. I can ssh into it from phone and use a simple app to control the relays manually if wanted or needed.

I have a Pi. It runs my emulator.

Speaking on that. I picked up some PS clone usb controllers thinking they would be plug and play. Not so much. Would you happen to know how to get them to work with my emulator?

DS4Windows might be the ticket. I use xbox controllers with windows for ease of integration. Ive had to use motionjoy in the past for PS3 controllers to work.

The controls guys at the office try to explain that **** to me. I stop at knowing the difference between direct I/O and I to P, then knowing what each of the symbols on the P&ID do (i.e. a control valve, shutdown valve, level controller, etc.). I joking tel them, I know I run these projects but you have to remember I’m the dumb structural engineer.

Not if I’m at work. We pay those guys way too much and most the time when I go in there they are playing WoW.
