You don’t drive fast & you’ll be okay, just saying from experience.....the more toe (especially rear) the Z will hold straight.
I ended up with 1/16”F & 1/8”R.....had 1/4” rear at one time

redondoaveb 02-25-2020 10:27 PM

By the way, I made a mistake, my toe is positive, not negative. Oops.

Keep it on the positive side; unsure if you just poke around like old-folk :icon17: Or blasting it out like Spooler :driving:
Hitting higher speeds will let you know :tiphat:

I have my own settings that I like. I have the toe set to dead middle of spec. That is what I prefer. I don't care for a twitchy car. I hate that.

Front or rear, or both?

Both, now the camber I set to my spec. -1.4 front and -1.5 rear. I need
to go to -1.5 front and -1.4 rear. Still debating that change.

Nothing wrong with those specs. I show factory toe spec as: Front 0.08, Rear 0.15

redondoaveb 02-25-2020 11:22 PM

The SPL engineer was telling me that the Z turns in better with the rear ride height a little higher than the front.

Toe in is stable. Toe out increases snap oversteer. It helps turn the car in mid corner.

Your sheet says .06". that positive. there is no - in front of it. Unless they told you something different.

He's using the spec I gave him for toe. Which is where I have mine set at.

I need the primary sensors. I never got them replaced after WR used power tools to install the HFCs.

Having some serious second thoughts about that Einstein decision... I guess I should have taken her somewhere nicer for dinner. Seemed like a good idea, as it was our Anniversary and all...

Regarding specs and alignment, JAR always says he prefers his toe to be camel.

He also describes his alignment as straight. We remain unconvinced.

Hope you all have a great day! I'm finally starting to feel somewhat recovered from last week's install marathon... Just want to say again how much I appreciated getting a chance to hang out with and learn from both Madwi and Rusty. 2 good dudes.

I am surprised no one in the office commented on my hands looking like they took on a rabid badger. :icon17:

I believe you mean "rugged and manly" - but seriously, I still resemble someone who was insistent on handling a greased up and severely pissed off raccoon.

Got your popcorn ready. :drama:

Think spring is here. Seen a bunch of road killed critters lately. This morning, I let the dog out in the back yard. She took off and was chasing a robin.

Yep and good thing too. Everything is frozen. The boring guys have frozen pumps that trip every breaker they try hooking to. They can't get the genny/welder on their truck started, they didn't have gas for it either. There has been a redimix full of water sitting here for an hour icing up.

I'm about to make a run for more coffee, doubt I'll miss much

Not a roadkill but a crime scene. The gf came across this yesterday walking the pup. Blood, dead raccoon and gloves... :icon14:
