For the record I would go to the world of beer with you anytime.

Happy early birthday

Yikes, need to decrease that negative camber on the rear. That isn't helping traction at all. -1.5 or less.

abm89 02-25-2020 08:38 PM

Mostly unpacked now. I at least have the cameras, alarm system, and lighting setup now. I've been running errands in the Z and I really should look into getting the O2 sensors fixed. I should setup an appointment soon.

I do need to make a skid block for the edge of my garage because my vbands catch the apex of the entry.

These straight line problems, lol. I'll never understand them with my huge wind-sail and -2.7deg of camber

If it were me, I'd add a lever to adjust your camber settings on the fly, you know, to go with the telescopic steering wheel to adjust your front toe on the fly :rofl2:

A fast car is a whole new ballgame. Track alignment isn't going to cut it.

Tried to get it to -1.5. Can't do it without going to SPL Mid Links. Right now, too much negative camber is better than what it was going to do to the toe.

Yeah, funky toe will kill you quick. LOL I have always had the SPL Midlinks and camber arms for the rear. Did you have the SPC eccentric bolts to adjust toe on the factory midlinks?

Unfortunately, I don't. But, the SPL engineer we had on the phone today told me most likely they wouldn't get the car to -1.5 unless I went back to close to stock ride height.

What's the problem with them? You have replacements or what? We're doing brake work at my place on another Z on Sat afternoon. Bring yours by if you just need some labor.

You could do SPL Midlinks like I have but you are on KW's with progressive springs. This will be a problem. If you were on Fortunes or something with a regular spring it wouldn't be a problem at all. I am on 7in. 10kg/mm Swift springs with the Aragosta coilovers with SPL midlinks. If you are real low you would need to go to a 6in spring.

You thin on the positive Toe at 1/16”
Be careful on any high speed blast; as you may feel the backside dancing a bit :ughdance:

Yep, gotta go with a different spring. SPL told me to email them when I'm ready and they'll set me up with the springs that I'll need. My car is an inch lower than stock, most likely 6" springs.

Your camber says negative & toe is +0.06” .... 1/16” positive by your sheet

Stand those back tires more upright & you will get more positive toe
Negative toe is terrible on the rear of a street Z :icon14:
Spec calls for twice as much positive toe on rear vs front.
