He is 16 years and 4 months! Not bad for a working! I have never had on live this long.

Yeap, they were surprised Bay was as old as she was. She is sweet too. That is very rare for a Blue Healer.

Think about me tomorrow as our appointment is 8AM.

My heart goes out to you.

I had to put down a dog with similar symptoms a few years back. Asked for the vet's opinion and he said it's time when they quit greeting you at the door. Didn't make the decision any easier.

Did ya have to say that. We just lost Rockie a month ago. Now Bay is not doing well. Both always greeted me when I got home and gave lots of love. That is the hardest thing to deal with. I catch myself calling their name for a while.

Rockie
Bay Bay
Prissy Dog

I have a list. Having a uncanny memory is actually torture. I remember everything, good and bad. They call me "The Elephant" at work sometimes.

You going to be part of the food chain? Sand fleas on the beach, and the Kracken in the water?

Rusty 02-12-2020 08:50 PM

It's pouring rain. :icon14: It started off as snow, then changed to rain about 30 minutes later.

Will do brother. I put my rottie down @ 11:45 Feb 13th 2006. Ain’t life weird that way. Came home from work and she was too weak to get up and go to the bathroom. She struggled over to the garage door to try and greet me like normal. Lost her bladder control right there on the rug. She was shaking so bad thinking she was in trouble for peeing in the house. Made the decision right then I was not coming home to seeing her that way again. One of the toughest days of my life. Came home and cracked open a beer to remember all the good times. Still miss that dog.

It's always tough putting a pet down. :( I still get teary eyed about Cooper and Jake. :(
