If youre going to put retirement money in a checking account, look for a high interest account that requires a minimum balance, usually 5k and up. Not sure what offers are out there now, but HSBC had one as high as 6% IIRC a few years back

Don't even attempt to go down to Florida or leave Florida if you live there. 9 mile long line at the Ga./Florida boarder on I-95. All Camden county exits (Ga Side) are closed to non local traffic. What a cluster fluck. People still don't get it.

I drove a rental Corolla up to Palo Duro Canyon one time. When I got north of Lubbock, winds out of the West kicked up to at least 40-50 mph gusts  I stayed in the left lane because every big gust moved the car over damn near a full lane. The first time it hit me, I wasn't exactly ready for it and ended up on the shoulder and one wheel off the edge and on the dirt. That sure woke me up after 8 hours of driving :eekdance:

Shave, problem solved! I know man, I used to scratch my face alot without even thinking about it. Now whenever I have an itch on my nose or face, I use whatever object is within reach that I know I did not touch or has been sanitized. I actually have a screw driver next to my laptop that Ive been using..lol

I don't deal with the general public. The only way I do is if they are picking up a special order that is being stored in my dept. And they come and want to look at it before it outs out the door. Normally only if it's damaged. They want to look at it.

Try driving a 36ft motorhome through Kansas during a wind storm. Talk about pulling a vacuum on the seat cushion. This was with our first motorhome that sucked driving it when is was calm out. I hated driving that MF'er. :shakes head:

Those IRR recalls are on a voluntary basis as well.

So now that we will be getting our stimulus checks, I had a question:

Long story short, after I received my real estate license, my state requires that my mailing addy be publicly available, which was a big "hell no" for me, so, like most people, I got a PO Box. And since I am planning out moving out of my apartment soon anyway, I went ahead and did a forwarding addy to the PO Box.

I filed my 2019 taxes, and put the PO Box as the addy. On the IRS website, it does state ways to change the address, which does include putting the new address on the tax filing. But I still worry that human error can be made, and I definitely don't want to miss out on $$$

When sending these stimulus checks, I am assuming they go by the address on the tax returns. I always owe money so my banking info is not on there. I tried calling the number on the IRS website throughout this past week, but each time I call, I get a prompt stating due to high call volumes, they could not take my call and auto-hangs up.

Has anyone updated their address via the tax filing, and was it updated?

According to the Infernal Revenue Service, they will try to direct deposit the money. If you've paid by check at any time, the IRS has your banking info. :eekdance:

My cousin got out of Korea literally days before they started shutting down stuff. He just passed Ranger school last summer but then decided to not pursue a military career path.

Started my day sanitizing my work station/area. We've got cleaning crews coming through every few hours and doing the same thing. We have hand sanitizing stations throughout the facility, which I use liberally.

The FTL is the biggest risk. He's a close talker because he's hard of hearing. I keep backing away from him, and he advances.

Rusty 03-30-2020 08:52 AM

We got a chit load of Penske trucks sitting in the parking lot. About double of what we normally have. Got all sizes.

Leingod 03-30-2020 08:52 AM

Assuming he's had it for 10-14 days without realizing, a lot of our shop floor could have been contaminated indirectly.

Not good :-/

No telling JL. Apparently my sister transmitted the virus to 2 other MD at the hospital. The good thing 3 of them already well.

All are Finishing a 14 day isolation or quarantine.

Thanks Rusty..,the good note my sister is well in 3 days. Serving her 14 day quarantine from work.
Unfortunate though with the family of my brother in law. He lost both parents 74 and 77 years of age in a 2 week period.

It all started when the sister of the mother visited from New Jersey early February. Then my sister the MD brought her to the airport back to NJ.

Now the NJ lady is also in critical condition in NJ in a matter of 2-3 weeks.
I dont think she will survive too.

Thank you Bunk.

But you see thats the danger my sister got the flu like a week ago got well in 3 days. But test results came after close to 5 days before the result came out.

Rusty is correct its a Russian Roulette you never know which barrel has the bullet.

Zoren 370 03-30-2020 09:36 AM

The danger lies on people walking around with the virus without symptoms and not knowing. Till they get sick.

Leingod 03-30-2020 09:36 AM

Susan's brothers wife is Chinese. She truly believes what the Chinese are saying that they have no mor einfected and the numbers are now at 0. Holy brainwashing. Don't worry, she makes 100k and handles supply chains for the company. Friggen moron....

I think theres a very deadly strain of the virus, but most not so deadly. TBH I really think I may have had it. Starting earlier this year I had a very bad cough, shortness of breath - couldnt even hold my breath and not cough, loss of smell, and just getting better this past week.
My mom had a layover in Shanghi just before xmas, and she had pnumonia symptoms for several weeks, we spent xmas together, and a patient at the clinic next door to my office had come in with a 100+ fever. :icon14:
