I use wolf gang products. Been tempted to go with a coating but there’s a lot of prep work involved and that stuff is a little tricky. The Z has so much shitZ on it (spray wax and derail sprays ) it’s starting to look a little haZy in the right light.
A little later this spring/ summer I will coat the maxima, would rather make a mistake and learn on that

old guy 03-29-2020 01:51 PM

Madwi,
Did you get the suede / leather applicator with your coating ?

Next time you are over remind me to get you a small bottle of the Blackfire sealant. I really like this stuff and I am not totally sure a ceramic coat is going to be any better.

Madwi, saw your post on the other thread,
From my limited knowledge you need to do a paint correction first and some products then require you to use a perp and or alcohol wipe down to remove any oils left behind from the paint correction

Yeah, paint needs to be done because thats whats going to get sealed in. plan to hit it wwith the Metabo and a finishing pad mixed with 3m ultrafina SE. Ill strip all the old **** off with a good dawn wash and then alcohol wipe it down good. I watched a couple of videos on it and it doesnt look too bad. The good thing is its not a "pro" product that will need to sand off if fugged all up. :icon17:

Don’t forget to clay bar it too!

That was a fun trip to Home Depot :ugh:

Line to get in wasn't too bad thankfully. Manager was extremely helpful after the customer service cashier basically gave up on me :icon17:

So once Mario actually got the card approved for me, he had Jim help me place the order while I was there. No dice. The product number for the Ridgid stuff in the in-store system simply says Coming Soon and can only be ordered through the website. And the temporary card they gave me cannot be used online yet because online orders require a CVV number. After Jim had watched most of this debacle unfold over past couple hours, he wasn't giving up on me. He called his helpline to see if I could buy a gift card using the temporary card in store. They told him yes but when I attempted to make the purchase it was declined. I left the store with a fairly useless piece of paper and a coupon :)

It's funny. I don't hold onto that shìt so I don't really think about it too much. But every once in a while, I look back a recent events and think, who is fùcking with me?? :icon08: :rofl2:

madwi 03-29-2020 02:44 PM

I understand that feeling, very well!

madwi 03-29-2020 02:45 PM

bummer about Zdayz, I was looking forward to it. Refund just hit paypal.

JARblue 03-29-2020 02:50 PM

I'm sad that I will miss the rescheduled date also :(

I would've gladly bought some all seasons and driven up there in Nov :driving:

JARblue 03-29-2020 02:56 PM

I figure I have purchased enough tools for now, which is why I was gonna just put the Ridgid stuff on the Home Depot card with 6 months no interest. But I was also planning to purchase a bunch of misc crap that I don't need right away. Things like a rug for my entryway, tap and die set, some LED light retrofit light fixtures, etc...

But I didn't want to miss out on the battery deal. So I went ahead and grabbed the impact driver and impact wrench combo kits. Most of those Octane tools are more than $149 by themselves (the circular saw is like $189 tool-only), so getting them with 2x batteries and a charger is solid

I think I'll get at least the jigsaw and the circular saw along with the other misc stuff once the card arrives (probably next week lol).

Yup exactly it fits the description of JC!

I thought my Hawaiian accent is just terrible! For him to understand!

I buy him a stethoscope and talk to him using the bell scope! Lol

Motorhome rentals have been cancelled up to June so far. Had a guy e-mailed today wanting to rent it in early Sept. for 12 days. He wants to take it to BF Cali. Figure about 3,500 round trip.

Fellas, I found out this morning.. I am negative for the rona. Thank the good lord. However, I'm still going to maintain my regimen.. Lots of vitamin-c and keeping my distance from folk.

madwi 03-29-2020 05:18 PM

Roasted a whole chicken for dinner. Man, it turned out good! So juicy. :yum:
