Morning gents! Dropped car at RT last night, fingers crossed and prayers said. They are taking things pretty seriously. No customers in the building, call when you arrive, leave keys in the car, they'll come get them and sanitize the car before working on it. Same thing with pickup. No customer contact.

Anyway, no complaints. We have a new guy in QC. Overseeing his training remotely is going to be pretty tough. Reading documentation just isn't the same as having a trainer in place.

Since I'm licensed by TDLR, I get to call myself a building inspector, which is considered essential. No inspections scheduled, at least.

At some point (probably sooner), it's going to be tougher for the governmemt to control those that are unemployed, bored, rioting,... than trying to 'control' a virus that they certainly can't. Nobody can. It's like trying to make the earth stop spinning.

Wouldn't surprise me to see the gov restrictions ease when they realize all they're doing is making things worse for everyone.

But that implies some level of 'common sense' among the 'overlords'. If the level of 'stupidity' among the stupid reaches the level of riots, the response will be an even heavier hand.


Most of this could have been avoided if the mid-level supervisors didn't threaten to fire people that were legitimately sick during all the past flu seasons. Instead, they chose to act like bullies and force people to come to work sick in order to keep their jobs. I worked for an azzhole like that.... I'm glad I don't any more.

I can remember back when the steel mills and coal mines shut down in the early 80's. People were getting robbed of their groceries coming out of the grocery stores. The people robbing didn't want money. Just the food so that they could fed they families. If this last much longer. I see this happening again.

Also from this time period. Guys that lost their jobs. You could see the progression. After losing their jobs. In this order. Sell off the play toys. Boats, then bikes, the second vehicle, guns, and then divorce. I watched this repeat over and over to my friends.
