I am well, thanks. You'll have to do some brain storming and come up with a few ideas for a spring meetup.

Definitely 2/different prices to just own in my state :ugh2:
Property taxes + full coverage insurance would cost 7500-8000 per year for the GTR vs under 1500 for a Z :wtf2:

These days, gotta be 200+ mph in the 1/8th mile or you’re slow :stirthepot:

local GTR guy set the stock turbo location record a few months ago and he' barely off the overall world record which is insane still utilizing the tight space in stock location.

he just posted a video of his car on the dyno prior to the 2020 race season.

2319whp/1610wtq :yum:

think he ran a 6.7 or 6.8 for the record.

You are not very observant. All of these video's are old as hell. They were made back in 2012 or so.

Oh yeah, In SC they shove it up your arse. They only charge $300 dollars for tax when you buy the car. They get you every year with property tax when you get your tag and it is off the chart.

If I lived in a state like SC. I would have to file bankruptcy every year after paying for registration. :icon14:

abm89 03-12-2020 09:55 AM

Those are decent registration fees. My Z is usually 70-80 dollars per year. I expect my WRX to be close to the same.

Now property tax in this area is ridic. it's more than a third of my mortgage. The upside is there is a very real possibility that my property value can double in 5 years with how Austin is growing.

With Apple building 2 of their largest campuses in the world within 2 miles of my house, my property value is skyrocketing. It already doubled over a 3 year period. And is looking like it might come close to doubling that in the next 5

It's true. This played a factor when I declined a job transfer from FL to GA, in addition to state tax on top of federal. And the property tax on a car is based on the assessed value of it and charge a percentage of that amount (or this is what I read for GA taxes). FL doesn't have either taxes....:ugh2:

I paid close to 9% tax when I bought the Z... and still get robbed every year for registration.
The gf paid 130 to register her 2003 Ford Focus. The Z's registration is coming up soon, I forgot what the exact cost is, but its over 200 dollars for the year...for a 10 year old car....

FPenvy 03-12-2020 12:37 PM

just got word from the boss we are working remote tomorrow and monday.

awaiting communication from high up about possibly company wide mandated remote work situation for 2-4 weeks.

a ton of company's here have already started that.

My wife's car has a regular state plate and will cost $36 to renew. I have a specialty plate on my Z and will cost $50 to renew.

With the savings, i'll probably go out and load up on TP :ughdance:

What is property tax like? That's where I get hit in SE Pennsylvania. At least I have property - a lot of Delaware County has no property, bad schools, and high taxes. I have large property, good school, and high taxes.

My best friend told me that their company told them to work from home indefinitely. Said they didnt want to be the last company in Silicone Valley to take proactive steps. Must be a ghost town up there.

I damn near got booted off the plane going to LA from Denver and then returning home. Idiot in the aisle seat sprayed her seat AND the center seat with Lysol, and damn near killed me. :shakes head::shakes head:

I started coughing and the idiot called the FA over and tried to get me booted. I choked out that she had sprayed the seats with Lysol (forbidden per Southwest). The FA confiscated the Lysol and moved her to another seat.

And then had a repeat coming out of LA.... Fuckinmorons.........:shakes head::gtfo2:

On the plus side, Duke just pulled out of all athletic competitions.
