Decided to post up my axe throwing results for my own self-motivation :icon17:

That hatchet btw is my grandfather's BSOA hatchet from about 85 years ago. The head is original. The handle was replaced/rebuilt at least 5 times between 1930 and 1940.

I hate daylight savings time. But yeah, looking forward to the longer daylight.

jchammond 03-07-2020 07:47 PM

Oh No; new movie on “3:10 to Yuma” & Glenn Ford is a bad guy :wtf2:

Been a good day. Went to the Home and Garden show. Just about every vendor there had a big bottle of hand sanitizer out for everyone to use. Seen lots of hipsters like FP. :rofl2: Took wifey out to dinner. Now Chillin' and Netflixin'

Pintsize725 03-07-2020 08:14 PM

Another full day at the track. Our company was invited to a suite by a vendor. Great seats, great company, great food and drinks. Kiddo was good and husband was a good supporter for walking back to turn 9. Almost too good to be true.....

Oxygen is legit depleted when you're on the 51st floor.

Probably my most favorite date option. Between work and law school, I am burnt out by the end of the week, and it's always nice to be able to forget about the world for a couple hours and talking with the wife over dinner, and then relaxing with a movie at home.

vtec to vvel 03-08-2020 12:52 AM

Oh yeah, I also took the Z out for the week (she sits in the garage 6.5 days/week), and while getting some oil and filter, I also made to where the top gauge clock is the time with daylight savings, and the nav clock without it (1 hour difference). That way, I don't have to keep going through the series of buttons on the dashboard.

vtec to vvel 03-08-2020 12:55 AM

So how does daylight savings work for those that work overnight? Like strippers, do they get to go home an hour early (spring) or work an hour extra (fall)?

At the power plant. We had the option to stay 1 hour later to make up for the lost hour.

Here’s an option for you that is much faster... If its difficult to get the zinc ones out, you can just drill another hole aside of it and stick the galvanized through the new hole and leave them both in...

And I assume you are using a “Ship Auger” bit to drill the holes, right? Those bits will drill your 5/8” holes in just a few seconds every time...

Well... At least Mr. Ford made it to this century before he left us... however,...he’s still a goner...

Spoiler 03-08-2020 04:00 AM

T-60... or maybe T-120... or maybe T-0... Heck, not really sure.

I guess if I just eat some bacon every hour on the hour, I should have all my bases covered... :happydance:

Now you have bumped your head; we’re talking 5-700$ worth of fasteners getting credited back :ugh2:
The 50 5/8” ones attach the bottom of the structure to the 20 deeply cemented post....they’re in.
The others are 1/2” & some are rusted pretty much already :ugh2:
It’s from trying to work off the scaffold on the concrete & reach around for bolts...some more froze than others :icon14:
260 1/2” bolts total + washers & nuts :nutswinger:

jchammond 03-08-2020 06:41 AM

Dueling banjos are playing & sounded like a different tune :rofl2:

It’s 81 in FL. We had maybe 4 days of 55 degree whether this entire winter. Didn’t even get to break out the peacoat this winter :shakes head:

When I was at Elliott. They would tell me it was a 1 day job. I would pack for a week. Tell me 1 week. I would pack for a month. Tell me 1 month. I would start to fill out change of address cards. :icon14: Some jobs, I would take a 1 ton dually crew cab stake bed, or fly. There would be times where I'm on the road and they would call and say the job was cancelled. One time when I got to the hotel. There was a message there for me to call back to the office. Come home, job cancelled. That was a 14 hr drive one way. Another time, I got out the plane and they was paging me. Catch the next flight back. Here's your ticket home. that was in San Fran. :rofl2:
