I don't have anything yet. The non-threaded version is less expensive. My understanding is you can just use nuts and bolts with it if you don't use the flange with threaded bolt holes. I'll probably just get the threaded version since that's what mine already has (it's a 2011 like yours).

Double check the stub axles for bolts. Get new carrier bearings and stub seals. It's best if you get the bearings pressed on to save on time. The shop that I used to use closed up because the owner past away. I used to be able to just walk in with small stuff. Now I have to wait anywhere from a couple of days to a month.

All done, and yeah as JCHammond said, simple process. Doctor was pleased with his work, said it was perfect and went very smoothly. My bone was still dense enough that he was able to leave the stud exposed so the next step is the addition of the crown.

Now I just have to remind myself not to chew on that side today (or at all this week).

Unsure about the OS-Giken unit; but the Wavetrac has 2-flats on both ends of it...about 14mm thick.
Can’t remember the size/ as i would buy an inexpensive wrench & grind it down thin to fit. Would make easier to hold while torquing ring gear bolts

I would kind of like to see Chris's response to Russ if he did that!

Got the camera yesterday. Susan thinks I should do smash burgers first to put online. Recommendations?

So doesn't look like Blizzaks come in my size (base wheels). Do you guys have any suggestions or personal preference when it comes to winters or good all seasons? I run Michelin 4S until the weather gets really sh*tty (like how its starting to be now here in Oregon).

madwi 12-03-2019 05:57 PM

I wanna say the Michelin a/s 3 was a favorite all season but I'm not 100% certain that was it. Blizzaks might be overkill for your area, do you guys get a lot of snow?

That's what I was also wondering if it was too overkill. We get snow maybe once a year but when it comes down, it really comes down. Mainly a lot of rain and cold but not much snow.

JARblue 12-03-2019 06:01 PM

I loved the Michelin A/S 3s ... but I never really had any experience in freezing weather. They were great in 40F+ temps and great overall in wet weather :driving:

Id go with an a/s but I started driving on snow before dry pavement :icon17:
Blizzaks might wear out way fast if you get warmer temps during the winter.

BettyZ 12-03-2019 06:36 PM

At a loss on how to frame/ceiling this corner. I have separate cut OSB to cover the rafters below the ceiling level. But cant figure out how to extend the ceiling to this corner. Is it possible to attach some 2x4 in between the joists on the top plate of wall? That should give you a lip to attach OSB to.
Let me bust out my MSpaint skillz real quick...

The prior owner. Who, terrifyingly enough, was a general contractor.

**** like these corners, 48"OC 2x6 rafter ties, randomly-spaced (15" to 19" OC) rafters, and a host of other f*ckery are why this has taken a month of near-constant work.

The Helen Keller comment is apt, tho. Based on his mail, which I still get, he died blind of diabetes...

The ceiling is 18.5" above the top plate. Raised rafter ties, ya know?
