Okay, here’s a technical question... sort of...

My 2011 Nissan Murano is a great vehicle but for the last couple of years the radio has been goofing up. The volume knob is messed up. You turn it down, it goes up. You turn it up, it goes down. Sometimes you adjust the knob and nothing at all happens. Sometimes you are driving and the volume just goes to full blast all by itself. The knob on the actual radio face is the one that is boogered up. The steering wheel volume up/down switch seems to work fine.

Anybody got any suggestions on what I may be able to try on this problem?

That actually could be the problem. They may have seen the mass quantity of bacon I took off the breakfast table each morning...

You have to keep on them. Call them weekly.

Swapping the diff's, no problems. Ring and pinion. I'm not opening up that can of worms. That eats up a lot of time since I haven't done that for a while.

You're going to look cute dragging the diff through the air port. :rofl2: I would love to see you taking it through security. :rofl2:

He gets 4 weeks vacation time. He will take one week then another. Then split up the other 2 weeks.

Plus I don't think Brad would know where to start.

Just a simple swap. VLSD to Wavetrac with new cover. Make sure backlash is correct.

I'll take video. I already checked with Southwest and TSA. I'm good as long as I drain out the fluid first

So USPS tracking says my Raceseng shift knob was delivered Friday, but came in the office this morning and nothing here or in mailbox.... we'll see when he stops by if it really did get delivered or if he just left it on the doorstep... Hoping it was just accidentally delivered to the wrong suite (considering there's only 3 other ones)

That's annoying. Good luck figuring it out!

Thanks, yeah he's always been super nice and cool, there's been a couple times where we've received a different suites mail which isn't a big deal, so hoping it was just a mix up. Hoping at least!

USPS is famous for marking it as delivered and then it shows up the next day. Happens to me all the time.

Spooler 12-02-2019 02:04 PM

Fedex delivered my wife's a package on Sunday. They also did it last year with my CSF radiator. I am dang sure not complaining.

Leingod 12-02-2019 02:27 PM

This stupid cold and now I'm losing my voice. Is it the weekend yet?

Shift Knob is here! Much like redondoaveb said they marked it delivered but just delivered it today. Will put it on after work and retire the Blox buttplug

Next question. Are the stubs bolt thru, or threaded for the CV joint?

eastwest2300 12-02-2019 04:37 PM

I'm pretty sure they are bolt-thru. Isn't that what the later versions are for our Z? I can get a flange with threaded bolt holes if necessary. Joe has it all.

Hey all, quick question.

Radio probably has the speed/road noise tuner ability
Unsure on that head unit :wtf2:

Yes, it does have the speed/road noise tuner ability.

I was unsure if I could pull off the knob and spray some tuner cleaner on the shaft and then spray some electronic silicon spray on it like a regular potentiometer from years gone by.

I am unsure if behind the knob there really is a pot switch or not.. I assume it must be microsized but there must be one...

503.Zed 12-02-2019 06:32 PM

I absolutely love this color of the Raceseng shift knob. https://imgur.com/rQTXDtv Is their a way to post the pic in the thread without it just being a link? I'm a noob on this site stuff

You better check and see what you have. Take a look at the axles now under the Z. Mine are threaded. 2011.

LOL, Mine were also. I bought 2 new stub axles to replace the threaded ones when I did my diff upgrade. Glad I did. The bolt through are the only ones that will work with the DSS Pro axles.
