You have serious problem! You should go see someone about your tool fetish!

Just about done for the night.

Picked up my barrel from the gunsmith with the new muzzle brake for my AR15, and put that back together.

Uploaded a new e-tune into the truck.

Played around with the dash-cam wifey got me for Christmas. Having problems with it and my radio. Everytime I would plug it in. My radio would get statically. Think I know why. The power cable from the outlet to the dash-cam acts like an antenna, sending out a signal. I might have a fix for it.

Worked on the motorhome a little bit today. Pressurized the water system and checked for leaks to the repairs I made. Didn't see any.

Added 2 gallons of distilled water to the 6 batteries in the motorhome.

Working on a dang printer. To think I use to do this stuff when I went back to school. I can't stand it now.

At the power plant. We used to own all of the printers. Very little problems with them. Then some VP decided to lease all the printers. What a nightmare. All of the old printers got trashed. We was limited to how many new printers we could have, which was about half of what we had. We all had to use one big printer. Damn thing about it. We was limited to 4000 copies per year. You're talking 25 + people using it. Anything over 4000, we had to pay. :shakes head: And when it f#$kd up. It took days for anyone to show up to fix it.

Screw that noise! I can have the guys here in under an hour if need. The only department that would have to be for is emergency but I can divert any print queue to another printer if necessary to keep them up and running.

madwi 01-15-2020 06:47 PM

Night is off to a great start for my contractors. Staff bringing the food cart around bashes into his cart and his laptop goes flying down the hallway, in many pieces.

I did it all, ink jet printers, laser printers, plotters, Laptops, desktop, Monitors, Terminals, everything. Do what you got to do to go back to school. It lasted for about 4yrs, then it got sketchy. I went to work at Nissan as a technician. I turned my hobby into a job. Then that got to be no fun. I pick and choose what jobs I do now. I just don't have the time.

I dont do side jobs anymore and refer people to a coworker that is a glutton for punishment. :icon17:
I love my job, the schedule cant be beat but I dont play with tech too much on my free time anymore. I have a full enterprise server rack and services running in the house but that just serves me movies and heats the house inefficiently. :icon17:

I have oil-filled electric radiators that keep it at a toasty 63. Come summer though I might revisit that idea..

Really the whole start of the new year. But whatever... that shìt is almost over. Still waiting for the tablet number to port over

Got my refund from Honda. And credit card company knows to tell any AT&T charges to go jump in a lake.

JARblue 01-15-2020 09:29 PM

Anyone that runs into the Quicksilvers guy at ZDayZ... be sure to ask him what AAM pays him for his blind loyalty :shakes head:

jchammond 01-15-2020 09:49 PM

:hello: Night Folks,
Been a long day & gotta get plenty of beauty sleep...as ZdayZ is just around the corner :ugh2:

JARblue 01-15-2020 11:19 PM

Damn Honda letter was the official payoff, not my refund. But the letter should get me a refund on the warranty coverage. The dealer has been going downhill, but I don't expect any issues; I'll go in tomorrow morning. Thankfully, I know the owner (he also owns the Infiniti dealership down the street) in case they give me any hassle.

madwi 01-15-2020 11:52 PM

You know what makes work a little bit better? A nice juicy ribeye steak and some sauteed mushrooms.

jchammond 01-16-2020 02:55 AM

Transfer Time, we’ll see how this works out with 5/hrs straight under my belt :ugh2:

jchammond 01-16-2020 05:01 AM

Well, transition was about like expected...pick up pad & played on computer :ugh2:
Fired up the countertop cammer & bout to get ready to drill some hoe’s :happydance:

I'm sure at least one of them was mostly put together after a few cocktails :)
But really it just goes to show how little I'm paying attention when I'm not serious about purchasing parts.

The spreadsheet I put together once I finally got serious about researching and purchasing parts was much more organized and detailed
