Unfortunately we get whatever he gets. I'm probably going to be running a fever tomorrow I have my second interview scheduled though so that's going to suck.

Don't ya know that 'daycare' is a full on germ factory? Parents bring their little angels when they are pukin' and crappin' all over themselves and expect the 'daycare' folks to take care of them, instead of the parents staying home and taking care of them.

Of course, those are the same people that come to work sick so they can infect everyone at work....

The flip side is that most states frown on you leaving your 3 year old home alone so that you can go to work... and since wages have not kept pace with inflation, it virtually necessitates a 2 family income.

Because of the schedule I worked (3-midnight), I was home for the kids during the day. The ex worked the overnight shift, so she took care of them when I wasn't home. It was a trade-off. When we both worked days, we took turns taking vacation/sick time to take care of the kids, though usually it was me that wound up using all my vacation/sick time every year.

I've taken days off when I had no PTO, yeah it made life tough on short paychecks, but it was all about what we considered important. Probably the reason I got divorced...

So I work outside in the yard for 12 hours everyday, then I fall asleep at 10pm. But dang it, if every night I don’t wake up at 2.

I may just go take me some IT professional type of classes so I can get me a 3rd shift job with Madwi.... that way we could sit around and tell stories. I’m actually pretty good at that...
