40 bucks a week for the rest of your life. That's what we used to say about Snap-On.

If my first wife knew on how much I spent on Snap-On tools. She would be spinning in her grave.

I'm about done paying off my new box. I really should add a side cab or an upper box, but 2 challenges, 1) I'd have to move shelves in the garage for the upper box and most importantly 2) I'd rather spend the $10k on TT's for the Z.

One of the reasons I don't have him stop here every week, I'd have my bill up around 5K again. I'm paying mine off with my refund.... I hope...

It is all about self control with the tool trucks. Only get what you gotta have
to do you job faster. Tool boxes don't make money, tools do. If you can store your tools under lock and key, you are good. You have to get over the new shiny stuff or you will be broke forever.

I've got all the goodies to make the job easier & faster, I just ran out of room to store them.

At the moment, I'm at about a 50/50 mix between old Craftsman and Snap-on tools. That may change depending on the folks selling Craftsman tools and how they interpret the warranty. Since Sears is essentially out of business, I can't return all my Craftsman tools because I'm dissatisfied. My Snap-on guy will give me a few $$ on them in trade, but that cranks my truck account up...

Besides, at my age, I probably need to think about not working on everyone else's cars. I've had too many people recently that think that just because I changed a light bulb, I'm responsible for their brakes running out...

I have a modular KRWLD36 that’s been discontinued (36w x 29”D x 33/34”H) that was on a heavy rollcart...didn’t move around because of weight.
I picked up a used KRK7023D in November (73x29) w/stainless top & set the modular on floor beside it.
After swapping tools over & putting additional new tools in,,,I’m overflowing again
I’ve used modular box mostly for nut/bolts punches chiselers, chains etc...
But gonna reorganize it so I can better situate my large box.
Paid about 20% of what a new one would cost & don’t plan to purchase another,,,socket drawer is a CF again
I don’t want a top box/ as it potentially would catch a swinging air line...we have some real professionals around now
I do need to double slide my bottom drawer in large box/as modular has double slides on lower 4 drawers
Working 5-11’s a week lately...haven’t had much time to organize
Then we have to keep an updated inventory,in case of theft of the shop
I do like the Hoods,,,but I’d have to relocate box or air lines.
I’m sure they probably still have them in “Cranberry” color
Went over 10yrs with a “0” balance on tools & all of a sudden
Getting ready for my garage at the house

I gotta back off;I try to pay around 10% of balance each time...the buy one get one specials have attracted me lately.
I have no intentions of buying another toolbox;as I have so serious organizing to do on this one
