Why don't you just move in. This way he doesn't have to invite you. I image he could use the extra help around the house. Washing dishes, taking out the trash, dusting, mopping the floors, cleaning the windows, etc. And you could pick up the food tab too. madwi could fix you up a nice cardboard box in the garage to sleep in, while Nismo stays in the house.

I already hire someone to clean the house. Maybe he could be security, he could watch the security cams all day and use BB gun to pick off squirrels on the bird feeder.
