Issue is that his house is built over the garage. Not insurmountable, but might be difficult to convince the missus to eliminate the bedroom/bathroom to install a lift.

But then as I always say, it's easier to get forgiveness than permission!

Ha! Good point. Nevertheless, I'm always up for some good chaotic demo work.

The bedroom above my garage has a vaulted ceiling. Maybe I can just raise the floor and add a couple of steps at the entrance of the bedroom to accommodate the lift :icon17:

As a former construction worker, I can only cringe inside at the amount of work this would require. As someone who does a fair bit of wrenching and knows how much a lift would help, I can only tell you to go for it!

:rofl2: I'm well aware of the construction aspects. There's a jack-and-jill bathroom that spans the garage wall. I could probably leave the lavatory down low and raise up the toilet and bathtub with a couple of steps in the middle of the bathroom.

No thanks :tiphat:

Yup. I don't do painus.

Finally going to spend an afternoon and get serious about running new speaker and subwoofer wiring in the walls. New TV mount (settled for a cheap low profile one - $15 - that I will probably replace in the future) going up as well.
