I'm taking it to another pro tomorrow and have him remeasure my girlfriend and have everything written down. Then going back to the original shop and disputing it. I think the original owner is still in control so I will talk with him.

I'm going to another old professional in another city. I had all my balls drilled by him when I was in high school. Only down side is he takes a week minimum to drill for whatever reason.

yeah brother, give it to the vet even if it takes a week, as long as it gets done correctly.. and honestly, a vet will have your GF throw several balls, before, during, and after, and make adjustments while doing so..

Good to see fellow bowlers on here. I have been out of the game for a while. I'm excited to try out vanilla scented rosin bags. hahahaha.

I have a DV8 Pitbull Growl on order if it ever leaves the damn UPS facility in jacksonville. Going on a week now.

eastwest2300 12-07-2017 11:35 AM

I used to throw a 16 lbs hammer with a nice hook.

eastwest2300 12-07-2017 11:36 AM

im definitely NOT a pro though.

Rusty 12-07-2017 12:53 PM

My last ball was The Beast. I'm left handed. The guy who drilled it. Drilled for a right hand. Talk about a f@&cked up ball to throw. He ended up buying me a new ball.

Rusty 12-07-2017 12:57 PM

At Pitt International and it's snowing on and off. Good time to leave.

Will be sending repz soon! Those that have repd upon me, i shall rep upon thee!

Ghostvette 12-07-2017 03:31 PM

Lein, why would you have a beginning bowler use a fingertip ball?

While bowling is not usually a difficult sport to become competent at, it's frustrating when the ball doesn't go where you want it to... (gutter ball).

I was told that a finger-tip ball was more for accomplished bowlers and you would /could graduate to that after mastering the basics (approach, release, etc). Maybe I'm a little confused, it's been a while since I went bowling, but I had a 16lb Hammer and a 15 lb Beast I used, neither of which is a fingertip ball. Hell, I had a hard time breaking 160.... :eekdance:

killrain 12-07-2017 03:56 PM

Repz have been given!!!

These mofos do it every year, man. First snow and they either drive 5 mph in the left lane or the SUV soccer mom doing 98 mph because they have 4 wheel drive

When I started bowling, I thought the objective was to see how far you could toss a 16 pounder before it came down. I could get it about 3/4 way down the alley. I was told pretty quick that was not supposed to be part of the plan... LOL

:p

I remember doing donuts in the snow when I lived up in Michigan...

Kinda fun if you had enough room... if you didn’t quite have enough room, well ... Whoops

Its so much fun with a beater. Use to drive a '79 Dodge Aspen that I bought for $10 in winter. What a blast! Hit a snow bank sideways at 25 mph? No problem!
Clip the light pole in the parking lot while doing donuts? Meh, just a scratch :icon17:
