The attached garage was insulated and drywalled this year. I have been kicking around the idea of getting a heater for it. Electrician is coming out tomorrow so while he is here I'll ask for a quote on the install. Not sure I really want to think about that bill right now :icon17:

I used a kerosene heater in my dad's garage for years. His garage was 30x30. It could be zero outside. I would fire up the heater, and in an hour. It would be almost 60F. When I would start to work. I would shut the heater off. I made sure I had no flumes floating around too.

I am looking at the natural gas Hot Dawg Heater styles right now. Would be easy to plumb in the gas and electricity to the garage. I have a gas line ran that way for the grill on the deck so easy to T into. Electric panel is about 30 ft away in the basement. That room is unfinished so it is really easy to run wires.

madwi 11-30-2017 10:32 PM

Now with Carbon fiber panels :icon17:

I used a Kero Sun 105. Still have 2 of them. I keep them around in case the power goes out now. And you can cook with them too. :yum:

I have a Generac natural gas generator that switches on when the power goes out. I freakin' love that thing.

Been thinking on getting one of those. What size you have? For now, I can plug the motorhome generator in to the house. It's a 3 cylinder diesel water cooled Onan, 10,000 watt.

I will have to dig up the paperwork and get back to you on that. I cant recall off the top of my head. I will say this though, one of the best things I've spent money on. It has been flawless for 8 years now. Transfer switch works perfect.
I use mobil1 synthetic oil during oil changes. Very low maintenance and it self tests once a week, were it starts and runs for 25 minutes and then shuts off. The list goes on and on lol

Oh ok the guy sleeps and eats inside this forum with 75k post just vanished in thin air.

He must have been consumed by his own personal Iggy list.

Leingod 12-01-2017 06:44 AM

Last I heard, he was over on the NAISOC forums. Freaking guy had enough cars to choose a lively forum from.

Plus a fully loaded 2016/17 STI and a fully loaded Abarth, a Fit I think, his Z, and 1 other sports car. And that's just off the top of my head. Was always curious what the guy did for a living to afford those things easily. Like, "hey guys, it was shiny. So I haz it nao."
