Thanks alot for that, you sir get a rep point. Also remember that if you replace your seats with aftermarket, you're removing airbags from your car too, if get in an accident with a passenger they can sue you till cows come home.

I think when it comes to aftermarket parts you can argue that they're better then OEM, but i guess you'd have to get an expert to testify in that respect.

I'm wondering how would you argument mods like custom CBE or CAI. You get more whp than OEM, which technically increases the risk of accident, right?

He is probably referring to upgrading suspension, breaks...ect. if you do it yourself, lawyer will argue that you're not an expert and ****** up something, so its probably better to get any suspension upgrades done by a professional.

Couldn't they argue that even if you replaced the parts with factory parts, but your not a mechanic?

I am trying to find this myself. I currently have 5k CPE coverage from Progressive but that is the most they will offer...this post however led me down a searching path that will allow me to ask more precise questions when it comes time to get a new policy.
