Dubai must have cheap gas - either that or the exchange rate for USD is good which has to be one of the few countries right now that would be the case for.

Just filled up at Chevron - paid $3.86 for 93 Octane.

its cheap in Dubai 95 is 0.43$ and 98 is 0.5 a litre. We have a fixed exchanged rate versus US$

And sorry that was a type as I thought US gallon is 4 litres but its 3.78l so a gallon is 1.6$, 93 is slightly more cheaper

That's still really good compared to prices here. Dubai sounds fun, I would love to visit it someday. My cousin lives there, so maybe I will go to visit him sometime

I paid $3.79 last week. That's 3 tanks of gas in 2 weeks...I need to stop driving so much!

$3.69 now. Sam's Club. $3.79 everywhere else. One thing that got me and pretty sneeky of them to do this but at shell if you use your credit card or debit or any card it's 10 cents more per gallon. They have no signs anywhere saying it costs more if you use your credit card. And it was just blind luck that I even saw it. I was thinking wait a min shouldn't I have gotten a little more gas for that amount of money. Sure enough, I went and told the attendant hey this meter charged me more than the pump price and then they hit me and said it's more if you use your card. Uh don't you think you should put some signs up saying that.

Just a quick lil news update, all the major financial firms have increased their exposure to oil, forecasting 2008 oil prices or above per barrel. Basically, we are all screwed and will most likely see 2008 gas prices or worse. Here is the article

I don't know if that's legal or not, but the station is doing that to offset the cost of paying the major credit card companies their fees. They typically spend thousands of dollars a month paying for fees so you can use those cards at the station.

They don't do that here in MN. You might want to check with your Attorney General website and see if that's an issue.

Just filled up at $3.79 for 93 in ATX.

Nismoracer, that kind of business practice is illegal. If they are truly doing as you say without notice, you should report them to the Better Business Bureau immediately (United States and Canada BBB Consumer and Business Reviews, Reports, Ratings, Complaints and Accredited Business Listings).

$4.19 for 91 in Malibu CA. That is still way off my record: when gas prices peaked in '08, I remember one time filling my Saab up with 93 that cost $6.71 a gallon lol.
