exhaust opinions (old thread seems outdated)

So nowadays you guys want just a loud exhaust?

Go to any local shop and ask him to make you a 2.5" exhaust system with resonators and stuff wont cost you more than 400 bucks.

A true art exhaust system is to give power without increasing the cabin noise and vibration. Maybe change the sound to exotic car but not crazy "loud".

I have yet to see any exhaust that went under serious countless hours of R&D before releasing.

It will not be as loud as a Tomei single. But it looks better (to my eyes) with the stock rear body kit and it is definitely cleaner sounding. The tomei is pretty raspy with test pipes at 3-4k rpm's. I wouldn't say that we want loud, but in the search for increased power, we tend to remove anything that would make the exhaust quiet. I mention loud more as a warning to others.

I wish I could figure out which exhaust to get. I want the lowest sound I can get from this car (which adding hfc I don't think helps) with it I guess being moderately loud (not the loudest but obviously more then the stock exhaust)

So I'm not sure if motordyne is too loud for me, but it seems to sound deeper then a lot of the other YouTube clips I have listened to. Berk doesn't seem as deep but I'm not sure.

My ARK will be here Wednesday. I'm sure FI is great, but I've always been one to take the path less traveled. Seems like less people have the ARK and it looks and sounds like a quality product so that's what I went with!

Hmmm $400 for a true dual mandrel bent system with resonators? I don't think the price reflects that. Maybe for a press bent exhaust yeah. I had a 2.5 inch true dual exhaust with no resonators and no mufflers... It was loud but didn't sound anything like my tomei does. The tomei sounds soooo much better and I get way more compliments on that then my old system. I can also tell the car maneuvers better with the weight loss it went on going single/titanium.

invidia will be the way to go. nothing too loud with performance.

I'm curious to see how that would sound..I was actually thinking of doing that .. Got a quote for $350 cash with 2.5 inch all the back with a true xpipe to go along with my berks HFC and nismo Axleback...

I love mine. Plus it was cheap, compared to most.
