The gains from long tube intakes, are generally from the flow and velocity of the air from the long pipes. Not significantly cooler air.
In my N/A Honda days (yes its applicable), once you start moving, whether its a short ram, or a cold air/long tube intake, the air intake temps get surprisingly close. Its only when the car is completely stopped does the air get "hot", such as on a dyno, even with a fan. Again, the gains come more from velocity and flow of the longer tubes, not from the saving 5 degrees on air intake temperature. The "hot air intake" thing was debunked a long time ago by tuners.
