This intake retains a 'similar' location to the stock intake, but straightens out the intake flow by getting rid of the rubber hose. The shields block out hot air; so you get the best of both worlds. I am CERTAINLY not the RC2 intake expert there however and will defer to those with bigger brains. Someone with RC2 experience please chime in! I am very curious.
