It is designed to shift a certain point and keep the car under a load. You do not have the ability to manipulate the RPM's like the 6 MT. Now in tiptronic mode it will have less drone because the car will drive more like the 6 MT.

But since your wonderful exhaust negates drone, its a non issue.
