Thanks, lately ive been hearing a sound while I slow down from about 3000 rpm that sounds like air going through the resonaters or maybe some type of decompression. Is this normal at all? It only happens when my foot isnt on the gas.

A leak would be more noticeable during acceleration opposed to deceleration!

I would have to hear it, but as long as the car is running fine and there is no CEL I would not worry.

ive never seen a car part catch fire like this!

TARDCORE 02-02-2010 08:29 PM

well its very reasonably priced, FI provides good service and speedy service for that matter, and they are like one of 2 or so companies who make products for the Z and back up their numbers quite well.

GingaBreadMan 02-02-2010 08:29 PM

Lol I have had your number for a while now Tony, but I'm looking to TT. If that falls thru (It won't) I will definitely give you a call. Your exhaust is so beautiful!!!

The exhaust is amazing. The quality of the product , and service speak for themselves. Tony is just a perk...lol

m4a1mustang 02-02-2010 08:33 PM

Quality is indeed fantastic. I was underneath the car over the weekend and decided to take a look at the exhaust... after about 9,000 miles it is still PERFECT... a work of art. The welds are fantastic, the quality of the steel is top notch... it's great.

Rssundar 02-03-2010 05:38 AM

it is just so amazing to see people who are fabricating are on the phone with the customers....The guys at FI definetly know what they are doing....unlike other exhaust manufacturers dont want to mention any specific names say that that their exhaust is mass produced overseas which doesnt sound promising.

Guys at FI keep up the great work and good luck....I hope the numbers just keep on rolling for you guys.

Sesshomaruv2 02-03-2010 08:00 AM

Hey Tony

I am really interested in buying this exhaust system but just have a few questions. How does the 18" resonators sound as compared to the 12"? Are there horsepower gains between the 12's to the 18's? I assure there are more horsepower gains with the carbon fiber exhaust kit, but how much do you think? These questions I hope can be answered by forum members as well as Tony.

There are no differences in HP between the 12 and 18" resonators (they don't inhibit flow) and there are no differences between the stainless and CF mufflers. The only "gain" with the CF mufflers is the weight savings, but all the internal workings of the muffler are identical to the stainless steel one.

" I am really interested in buying this exhaust" AWESOME. Man that how I started when I looked at the FIE. Trust me man its so awesome. I ordered mine yesterday and cant wait for the exhaust to arrive.

As far as the difference between the 12 and the 18 is that the 18 sounds a lot quieter inside the cabin. They both sound the same outside. Guess who told me this. The man himself...TONY.

Let us know when you buy it...;)

If it makes it more quiet inside why doesnt it make itmore quiet on the outside? Seems like it would have to. Im sure the dbs are less outside too, just might not be able to tell by the ear.

TARDCORE 02-03-2010 11:00 AM

a resonator makes a deeper tone, smoother tone. I can't imagine them sounding the same since a completely unresonated exhaust is rediculously loud.

DUGZ 02-03-2010 05:46 PM

Thank you very much Tony. Mark me down for delivered, installed, impressed and enthralled. The installers in the shop all agreed that the exhaust is one of the nicest they had seen. Very good quality, nice tigs, nice fitment.

Yup, first post, and I thought very necessary.

I'm gonna try very hard to get a GOOD video camera so I can take a GOOD video of this exhaust after I receive and install it. The one from F.I. is top notch, but people always want more, therefore, since so few videos exist, I will try very hard to give them more.

The microphone is really what's going to be important. You'll want to get a camera (preferably one of the HD ones) with an external mic input so you can really record some nice sounds. :)

But at the rate Tony is selling these things it won't be too hard for people just to head to their local Z gathering and hear it in person! :driving:

Hey Mike,

Thank you for taking care of Sanjay on the install. It is good to know that there is a decent install shop in the New York/New Jersey area. I will def. recommend your shop for installs in the future...

Thank you, Tony

Kevin1985912 #90, thank you for the order. People, we are officially 10 away from #100.

As you can see #076 and #077 are being skipped. It is only due to the fact that they both have 18" resonators on order and #078 has 12" resonators on order. Bottom line, I am currently out of all resonators with the exception of 2- 12". My shipment will be in towards the middle of next week and we will be back on track. I just wanted to explain this because I know I will be asked...

BTW- # 091 is pending...
