Fast Intentions exhaust is here!

installation doesn't cost them any money, just time. Shipping costs them money, so it will cut into their profit margins. Just a thought

what I find hard to understand is why so many people pay other people to do at most an hour long install of a symple exhaust setup, a monkey can do it. A socket wrench, a hand saw (if cutting is required), some break free lube (for removing pesky bolts, lubing hangers, etc.), and a little elbow grease is all thats required. You wouldnt believe how much you can save by taking a little time outta your day.

If you have the tools and a safe workspace, sure. But many people don't have access to a garage or otherwise don't trust themselves enough to do it.

For the guys that already have theirs installed...Please....Please..if you start a new thread...then please put a link to your thread here on this thread. It will help guys that are still drooling at the chin to get a move on and make that purchase.

k...Tony ...there's a plug for ya....promise guys he did not put me up to this either. I am getting mahogany just seeing that list of exhausts getting more filled up with installed/shipped/in transit status. Anyone wanna buy a Nismo CBE with low mileage. Buy two of them from me and have a spare...lol

Because many people don't have any of those tools, a garage, ramps, a lift or the time to do it. A lot of people (like me) aren't particularly handy and would rather pay somebody to do it once, the correct way instead of spending days with the car torn apart and having a half *** job done at the end.

True, but if it's Tony doing the install it probably takes about an hour, maybe less, and he's not paying anyone else to do it. He is probably charging actual shipping to these guys, which can be $100+ pretty easily with the size and weight of this exhaust.

He's just offering up a service he can easily do to help motivate his local customers. A little sacrifice in time for a little more incentive is easy for him...a discount on shipping will cost him money.

Sorry, I don't want to thread jack. Obviously there is a lot of demand for this exhaust....for now. I think that since some locals are getting a discount, it would be a nice gesture to spread some of the love to others that are buying as well. A $50 credit for shipping might sway some people that are on the fence.....

Use the payment plan if you need financial comforting, don't be cheap! Credit given where credit due... you won't get the price/quality and personalization with your order anywhere else.

I say take it or leave it!

Few pages back...

O.K. so I have been getting alot of requests about our payment plan option. We have offered this in previous markets and it has worked. Here are the details:

Layaway & payment plans

Here is how it works,

-All we require is 25% down (Non Refundable)
-From the day the exhaust is purchased you have 90 days(3 months) to pay it off.
-We encourage you to split the remaining balance evenly over the 3 months but it is not a requirement.
-If down the line you decide you cannot afford or do not want the exhaust system, you WILL NOT be held liable on the remaining balance. However you WILL NOT receive a refund on any previous payment.
-All payments are NON REFUNDABLE!
-You cannot downgrade once your original order is placed, only upgrade.
-There is no interest on your balance!
-Your exhaust will not ship until the balance is paid in full!
-There is no pre payment penalty!

We like to think of this as our way to make purchasing for our customers a little easier during these economic times.

Keep in mind, this is designed for the consumer that can and needs time to save up the funds in order to get this exhaust. This is not for everyone!

Those of you who have already purchased an exhaust system through us are aware that we do not bill your card until right before we ship your product! Example: if you purchased under the normal way today, your wait would be 4 to 5 weeks. So with that being said, you would not be billed until then.

This will also be posted on the first page as well as the sale thread.

I am going to say one more thing and then be done with it. He is probably doing this to attract people to his shop. Cheap advertising technique. I am positive he still has to pay his employee to do the install. Let's say his labor rate is 125.00 an hour, but he pays his tech 60 an hour for the job, So YOU may be saving money to get it installed, but he is eating 125.00 every install just to bring the customer to the shop. So actually it would be a better deal for Tony to ship the exhaust. I understand that you see that others are getting the exhuast cheaper, but it's not a direct cost to the exhaust. You need to look at it at an advertising stand point. Also I am just using the rates as a point, I have no idea what FI labor rates are. Hope that makes sense. Sometime I type fast.

You just have to look at it from the perspective of an accountant. Even though the customer is not being charged, the labor is going to be charged somewhere.
