With headers you're definitely going to be much louder than stock.

I have 12" res with stock cats and the note has settled down after close to 25k miles so far. Maybe I just got used to it but it's not as loud as I remember it being the first time I got it. It's still a really nice tone and the so called drone is not even apparent anymore.

OK I take it back that it's not much louder than stock... I talked to the guy who I bought the car from, and he said that he had already popped off one of the resonators that come stock with the car, so mine was already louder than stock. ANYWAY. My point is that the FI w/18" rez isn't a LOUD exhaust. I think it's perfect. Quiet enough to have a conversation over the low rumble in the cabin, and sounds awesome & exotic when you punch it.

Here's some pics!

12" is louder than the 18", but the 18" cuts down on rasp more.

Larger resonator = quieter/less rasp.

I have the resonated test pipes, and they are amazing! Like any other test pipes, minus the ART pipes, you'll get the fumes and slight rasp. But you'll open up your power band a lot more and it just keeps on pulling till redline.

As far as combinations go, if you want it extremely noticable, I'd got with the non-res CBE + non-res test pipes. I'm currently running the 12"+res test pipes combo.

Looks good can't wait til mine come in!
The tips look a little off-centered though. The left side I noticed most. Is this what the washer trick fixes? I'm an anal-mofo and I will be doing the install myself so I just want to know if aligning the tips perfectly centered in the exhaust cutouts of the rear valance requires the washer trick?

Thks
