Default What options for a quiet, drone free exhaust?

So I'm looking at getting an exhaust for the Z by Christmas time and I'm wondering what my options are for a relatively quiet, drone free exhaust. I had to go through a couple on my S2000 before finding the right one. I finely settled on the Tanabe Medalion Touring for it and love it. So for the Z I've narrowed it down to the Stillen and Tanabe. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I love the look and design of the F.I. but just concerned about the noise level.

You can check into HKS or M7 Japan exhaust. I got HKS and it comes alive only when gas it above 4K rpm. At normal cruising speed of 80 mph, you can have a conversion in the car.

I've got a stock 370z exhaust system, that's pretty quiet and drone free

I have the Tanabe exhaust and can't speak enough about the build quality, sound and looks. Granted my input is a bit skewed as I have HFC's and headers. If your going with Tanabe, be sure to pick up either their Y pipe or Motordynes XYZ Y pipe. The Tanabe Y pipe is sometimes very difficult to get. The really nice thing about the exhaust are that the canisters themselves are much smaller than others I've seen and the dual wall tips look great. The exhaust lined up perfectly to the rear bumper and mated to the Motordyne Y pipe as if it were made by the same company. You can see the pictures I have in my profile. I've yet to find an exhaust combination that completely reduces the rasp from the LTH's I have, and this is bar far the closest I've seen. I think if I replaced the HFC with a resonator, I would completely get rid of it. The exhaust will cost more than the Stillen one you looked at, but I guarantee this is much lighter, uses SUS304 stainless instead of T409, and it's unique enough that not everyone on the block has one. I bought it knowing it was quiet, and hoping it could tame the headers. It's doing a hell of a job.

The Stillen is a good choice IMO, quiet until you beat on it

Thanks! Sounds like what I am looking for. The build quality and fit and finish on my S's Tanabe are amazing too. I'm not too concern with the price diff. I do wish I could hear a Stillen and Tanabe in person though.

I am open to other suggestions. Invidia Gemini anyone? I had the Invidia Q300/dual on my S2000 at one point and hated it, although it made good power.

I like my Stock Nismo exhaust with resonated Megan test pipes. Sounds deep and throaty with no drone and very minimal rasp (only under specific conditions and it's very brief) and it's quiet like stock until you floor it. You can pick up a used full Nismo exhaust pretty cheaply.

Nismo S-tune.

What contributes most to drone and rasp is changing to a larger diameter Y pipe or using unresonated aftermarket cats or test pipes.

Maintain factory diameter and use resonators and it will be drone free.

I know ur concerned wit the noise level of the f.i. But in all honesty its the most amazing sound that our cars can possibly make NA. It should have come from the delearship like that. U know when a g37s drives by it has that distinct exotic note straight from the factory? It should b like that for te z's too.

I have high flow cats from fast intentions and the Invidia Gemini exhaust. Awesome quality, no drone, no rasp, and the least hiss I've heard on deceleration of all the exhaust systems I've heard in person. 110% happy with it
