Almost two years ago we made a revision to bring them slightly up in the build process. It will really come down to your driving habit if you scrape or not. I have customers with lowered cars that have never scraped and some at stock height that hit within the first few weeks.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call me directly.

Thank you, Tony
Tony,

Great response. It boils down to the drivers style. I'm not speaking for everyone but for me. My car sits low and rarely driven slow.

My driving style + lowered + bad roads and driveways = scrape.

Do you do custom work so that the mufflers wrap and tuck in instead of the V design to keep the pieces from axle and back from scraping?

Same dilemma here - Stillen or F.I.

Leaning towards F.I. (18" res + CF) given Tony's excellent customer service (as opposed to Stillen's lack thereof).

Was bit worried about how low the mufflers sit (wanted to keep it "stock looking") however the CF cans + reading multiple posts on here have alleviated my concerns.

Fast Intentions all the way, only other one i recommend is MXP

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCtFg4p6mQc&feature=player_detailpage

im going to try and get a better one soon, for some reason once i copied it to my computer it got a little distorted or something. tried 3 times to fix it but no luck. uploaded to facebook from my S3 fine but not to my computer.

I after spending a few weeks in these forums and new to the 370z, i really respect the opinions of you guys and hope i get some good info i havent thought about or read about in here to help me make my choice.
You should join the DFW facebook page and go to a meet if you want to hear both... Most of us in the DFW area have Stillen, and I don't think any of us have any complaints...

The biggest disadvantage I see with the Stillen is that it holds almost no resale value, not sure if that makes a difference in your decision, but if I knew how much value the Stillen loses and if I had to pay close to retail, I would've bought it used... (Paid $800~ new, which is cheap, but I got a bundle deal from a forum member who sold his car and never installed it)
BUT, if you're thinking about going Stillen, tell them you saw their deal for buying the Cat-back and getting a free G3 intake, and you'll ONLY go Stillen if they give you that deal... They'll do it, they might call you the day after to get manager's approval, but they'll do it.

Either way, IMO you can't really go wrong with either.

Honestly, you would be hard pressed to find a way to go wrong with Fast Intentions' TDX. I am on my second one (as I took the TT plunge and installed the TT-TDX) and I will never look back!

I get compliments on the sound all the time. Tony did it right. On top of that, his company's customer service is hard to beat....................

Quick question? What resonator option would one chose for the most tame sound? I have a fear of the "cannon" sound.

(stock cats/ Stillen G3)

NEVERMIND... FOUND IT

"The X Pipe has 3 options. Non Resonated, 12" Resonators or 18" Resonators. The resonators are strictly noise canceling devices. They DO NOT hinder performance at all. They are primarily designed to cut down interior noise resonance AKA "Drone"! The longer the resonator, the quieter the interior noise."

I was a little nerous about going with the 3" (TT-TDX) F.I. castback because of the the lack of resonators, but it was not an issue. It just delivers a deep growl just like the others. The difference between the 2.5" catback w/ 18" resonators on my NA setup and 3" catback on my FI setup is almost unnoticable. Just awesome sound and performance!
