Update: The newer FI exhausts don't require skid plates at all because they sit up higher. Adding material to the bottom of the mufflers would only increase the chance of

Update: The newer FI exhausts don't require skid plates at all because they sit up higher. Adding material to the bottom of the mufflers would only increase the chance of impact which would be counter-productive.

So I went out today and loosened both can pipes and started tweaking them and finally got them lined up nicely.
 It seems that twisting them slightly affects both side to side alignment and the levelness of both cans, probably due to all the angles in the pipe compounding. I was doing this alone and on jack stands which made things a little more challenging.Final result =  Thanks to Tony also for email support!
