No idea. All I know is my install date lol and I never cared for my order # because they're located down the street from me.

How much louder is the non-resonated vs the 12' resonated?

Go to the shop and check it out, you have a great opportunity to hear them for yourself being your so close.

Haha actually they are located about an hr away. I wish I had the luxury to just drive out to them, unfortunately, LA traffic sucks!!

An hour isn't bad just leave your house at 6 am and you should be there by noon...the next day... just messin wit ya.

I don't know how 12 inch sounds, but I switched from 18" to non res and it is MUCH louder. But I love it. Everyone around you will hear you under pretty much any acceleration, and the whole neighborhood will hear you under high rpm acceleration

How hard is it to go from resonated to non-resonated?

I ordered the 12" + I already Berk HFC, but I'm scared that's not loud enough lol.

Lets just say I want to go non-resonated down the road, would it just be the X pipe that I switch out? Or Y, whatever pipe you call it lol i don't know :rofl2:

X-pipe, 10 mins tops and that's with getting the car off the ground.

You can change your order of you want to go non-res. Each exhaust is made a few days or so before your install so you have time to change you mind. I originally went with the SS 12"and then less than a week before I called and changed mine to CF non-res. Easy peasy.

You keep wondering if it will be loud enough, if that is the case def go non res. Just my kind recommendation.

After having the non-res SS setup for a while, I did wish it was louder. Stock headers and cats so I guess that would be the next thing to get changed.

Ok I'm a bit of an exhaust slut, having a few setups on the z thus far. First setup after stock of course, stillen shorty headers, berk HFC's and stillen carback. Then stock headers and cats, FI catback w/12" resonators and SS cans, swapped out the mid section for a non-res section two weeks in, my favorite so far. I sold my FI setup as it was gen one and I needed more low plus the roads down here blow. Now I'm full stock except for aam short tail just to have something till I've got the cash for a non-res FI system with CF cans like the one above. In short the FI system is the best sounding and by far the best fit and finish system I've ever done, and not just on the z. All the systems I've done over the years on my and friends cars, it is the best far and beyond....Hats off to Tony and his whole crew, great products and customer service all around.

WOW!! Is the only word to describe the exhaust. Thanks to RoyaltyB, I had the privilege to experience the non-resonated CBE first hand. The sound is literally night and day. It was very nice of him for letting me ride shotgun in the sweet 2014 Nismo, and nearly giving heart attacks on a few turns:rofl2:. The non-resonated cbe with stock cats alone sounds ridiculously sick. No other way to express it.

As much as I would like to go non-resonated, I can't afford to draw attention from the cops because of my career path :shakes head:.

I will stick with the 12’’ resonated. Even then, I’m sure it’s plenty loud.

For those who choose to go non-resonated, you will not be disappointed.

How about res-HFC and NR CF cans. This set up is awesome.

No problem G. Just glad you could finally get a chance to make a clear choice. Sorry for the near heart attacks (plural is scary though ;) ) but I assure you that you were plenty safe, it was well within my limits and the car. Although it's a different feeling being a passenger for sure.

Be excited and patient. Tough to wait for something you want so bad, I waited longer than many, but the feeling after hearing the cold start right after the install was priceless. Then the test drive and drive home, unbelievable. If you didn't message me it would have sat until the morning, you gave me an excuse just to hear it again. Glad you made the trek to hear it. Look forward to seeing and hearing your exhaust.

What's up dude!!! While I know you were a bit limited by conditions on the video, you def added to what others were recommending. Def some good advice; which I have been trying to pass on :) Really appreciate the time you took to record and send me the videos. I seriously could not be happier! Sound is amazing. Not even the same car now. Will have to send you some vids as well. My couple of iPhone videos so far are ok, but will get something good and send it. Curious how similar our cars might sound. :)

After reading this, I'm emailing tony this morning to change my setup from 12" resonated to non resonated, I hope is not too late.

It's just a matter of putting a different midsection in the box. As long as it has not been shipped, it can be changed.

Boy this box is big. How did you guys fit it in Z? I'm planning to take everything out and arrange them in the trunk.

Once it's out of the box it'll fit no problem. We fit the stock catback (which has less sections therefore is bigger) plus a passenger in the z after an install one time. Then the guys had to drive from my house in Louisiana back to Texas, I think it was a 6hr drive.

Got my tracking number. To be delivered next Friday. Yessss!!
