+1 on a setup with F.I. resonated CBE + ART pipes. Very interested in hearing that...

I'm getting old I guess, when I had my 70 chevelle, I loved the lth's and the smell too. now, not so much. :icon17:

Debating on switching from the headers to lessen the drone. :(

I actually have a local 370z that has MD Art pipes paired with his SS catback with 18" resonators. I did a side by side comparison with my RHFCs paired with my SS catback vs his ART pipes & SS catback....and the ART pipe's hissing sound is all you could hear in the cabin. The RHFCs kept all the sound still going directly through the exhaust and straight out the back having guys tell me that they could "feel my exhaust in their chest" when following me, yet having very little cabin noise including zero rasp/drone.
I would suggest FI's Resonated TP's or Resonated HFC's if considering swapping out the LTH's.

A short "revving" video...

The smoke is from newly installed header wrap...it stinks, a lot.

And yes the phone is just sitting on the ground during this. Someone had to go push the loud pedal. Because it's a phone, in the video, it doesn't seem as loud as it really is... It's not much quieter than open header, to be honest. Love it.

Would love to hear this thing with weight on it on the go!

Any chance of getting in car vids of that Z, for the comparo? No one around here has this setup. :(

I'd really rather not do HFC's if I don't have to.

keep it man if it sounds good, a little drone never killed anybody. offer your passengers ear plugs upon entering your vehicle.

I just got my LTH's and 18" FI exhaust and will be pulling my ART pipes off this week. They are the newest version with maybe 1500 miles on them if you're interested.

OnceSolemn 06-13-2013 05:38 PM

So #737 shipped on the 7th, arrived on the 11th, and was installed this morning!

Very very cool. Haven't had much time with it, since I'm stuck at work, but so far so good!

COSMO 06-13-2013 06:11 PM

I tried to call yesterday about info on their 3 inch exhaust but when I told the guy I had a gtm TT kit and 3' test pipes he wasn't too willing to help me.. I waited on hold for him to transfer me to their Nissan guy but he had went home early.. Not would I expect..

"Worst Case" beginning of October. We will try to have it in the mail at the front end of your lead time or (hopefully) a little sooner! Maybe the middle third week of September.

Either way, your business is greatly appreciated.

Thank you, Tony

I think there is a misunderstanding here. Dan actually took the call, he is my business partner. I was out in the shop and I asked him to send you to my voicemail because I was in the middle of building exhaust systems.

He said when he went to transfer you the call was disconnected. We would of assumed that you would of called back.

As for you having a GTM-TT kit, it does not bother us at all. In fact we make a 3" TDX to bolt directly up to their Garrett kit.

Please do not hesitate to call us back with any questions that you may have regarding the exhaust.

Thank you, Tony

COSMO 06-13-2013 08:13 PM

Tony thanks for taking the time to address my needs and I hope to hear back from you soon on your 3' exhaust system..

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my FI exhaust the only issue I have is that I never listen to the very expensive stereo I had installed because I would much rather hear the sweet sound of my FI's. :driving:

You want this. It's just wonderful. It may be quieter than you're looking for if you're one of those "my ears must bleed" types.

Quick question, is this too close to the bumper, or should I lower it a bit?

KaienZ34 06-15-2013 09:00 PM

It looks right to me.

You'd want to lower it a little if you ever get boosted (extra heat from the RB swap chewed up my rear valence). Otherwise you're fine.

Kabestro 06-16-2013 01:29 PM

After installing the HFC, did anybody reinstall the brace that was holding the stock cats? I left mine off, but I don't know if it had another purpose other than supporting the stock cats.

The tip height looks good to go. The main thing is that they are both even and there is an air gap between the tips and the bottom of the bumper. The tips are dual wall resonated so they stay a little cooler. If they look real close meaning daylight in between is barely visible than lower them slightly. Like I said though in your case I think you are fine.

The brace from the stock cats will not be re used with our cats. You are good to go my friend. Enjoy it and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

Thank you, Tony
