Thanks for all the input fellas :tiphat:... After finding a couple of videos of some LTH's paired with 12" resonators I think I've decided to go with that. I've contacted Blake to make the change.

There, problem solved. Sent from my iPizzle using magic and new-fangled science stuff |
Has anyone placed an order recently? If so, how long is the waiting list? I just sent an inquiry

When you place an order all I require is a $300 deposit. This deposit does go towards the entire balance. I do not charge the remaining balance until your exhaust is ready to ship. At the time the order is placed I create an actual invoice for you. Then I will email you a PDF copy of that invoice to keep on file. Now all of my exhaust systems are hand built custom for each customer right here in house. I rarely have anything in stock. Everything is built on a first come first serve basis and right now we are 11-13 weeks out from the time your order is placed until the time it will ship. This may possibly be an over estimate, but I would rather under promise & over deliver. Now the lead time does not start until the order is placed and the invoice is created. Once your exhaust is built and ships I will email you your tracking number. |
703 shipped :)

Can't f'wait!! :excited: :yum: Thanks to Blake and Tony for their time. |
Updated list? :hello:

I know this probably a dumb question but I'm gonna go ahead ask. Does putting an aftermarket exhaust make your mpg better or worse? I really love this exhaust along with the company and would love to represent fast intentions on my 40th. I'm just really concerned about scrapping those beautiful cans. I live in south Texas and there are a few dips and speed bumps in my usual routes. My Z is a DD. I've spoken with Tony and he has mentioned that the exhaust is no lower than the stock exhaust. Can anyone tell me from personal experience if they have scrapped with the new higher cans? I really appreciate any help guys, thanks!!!!

1. (**It is my understanding that...) When you add breathing mods, this allows more air than stock volumes to flow through the motor, thus leaning out the Air/Fuel Ratio (AFR). When the ECU picks up on this, it tries to dump more fuel into the chambers to re-balance the ratio. So in this sense, yes an aftermarket mod can cause your mpg to drop. However, once you have all of the mods you want to do, and get a tune done, the tuner will adjust your AFR maps to accommodate the increased flow and bring your AFR's back to the correct ratio. 2. I do not have the 2nd generation cans, I have the First generation F.I. exhaust (with LOWER cans) and I have never scraped the exhaust. And the second generation cans sit higher than mine, so you have even more clearance. As long as you (the driver) take care to go slowly over speed bumps, and take hills/valleys at angles, you should not (knock on wood) ever have a problem. BTW - I am also lowered 1" all around. :tiphat: |
Thanks man I really appreciate the feedback!!! What kind of intakes do you recommend? I'm getting ready to order the k&ns cuz I really don't wanna have to remove my number for the G3s and I do not want to hydrolock with the aem or injens. I want a little more power but if its a waste of money then I might as well save $300.

My only concern with the AEM's is the "MAF trickery" they do. I know some people on here have them, and have Zero issues whatsoever. That's all well and good, but it just doesn't sit right with me personally. With Injens, hydro-lock isn't as big of a problem as it's made out to be. You'd literally have to drive into a river for it to be a Serious problem. If you want that style, but don't want that problem, you can look at the Nism0 intakes. Same design, but with a 2nd filter element mounted inside the engine bay. The downside to the Injens is you have to remove/replace your windshield wash reservoir with their unit. With the Stillens, people do get uneasy about cutting into their front air dam, but I assure you 10 minutes with a dremel and you're done. It's not that difficult even for the timid. Other options you can consider are the Akuma and AAM intakes. Both use a similar design and come with 2.75" pipe diameters instead of the 2.5" other use. And are lower cost than the GIII's as well. Lastly, there is the Takeda/GReddy style which is very similar to the GIII's, but uses a Single filter instead of 2 separate ones. Several options now, basically it all comes down to whats more important to you? Cost/performance/sound/installation difficulty. :tiphat: |
A buddy of mine has the k&n intakes and they're pretty loud. What are the loudest intakes for our Zs???

Any CAI will be louder than stock thanks to removing the black plastic/rubber sections. |
Updated list please? #710

Detailed Review Coming....
Be on the lookout for my review. I will write a fully detailed review with pictures and videos.
Review will be on the FI LTH paired with the 18inch CF CBE. As soon as I am done uploading all my vids to YouTube. My review will commence after. I will have pictures, cold start clip (gopro3 POV), WOT Clip (gopro3 POV), quarter mile passes clip etc. Big thanks to the F.I. Company. I hope my review will answer all questions and lead to more sales. I've gotten nothing but the best help from Tony and his crew. Stay tuned for a new thread with full detail.:happydance: |

And to get back on topic, you guys are killing me! Between reading the multiple threads on this exhaust and the boredom of the near silent stock exhaust, I've decided to go with this exhaust. Exact configuration TBD, but looking to order during summer so I can install in the fall when it isn't 100+ degrees outside  |
