Hi,
If I currently have the CNT exhaust and would like to try FI for a change. Would a 18" SS option be a noticeable difference? or should I go for a 12"? Thanks. |

Does anyone know how loud this exhaust with 18" resonators is compared to the stock exhaust with AAM short tails? I have the S-line tails right now and while they are nice they are a bit loud and I want something a bit quieter.
|
Here is a question Tony. I'm still debating changing my exhaust. I have PPE headers, they rasp like crazy, and I have gotten it tamed. Assuming these rasp as bad as test pipes, would 12" resonators be enough (with or w/o HFC option), or would 18" resonators be the safer bet? I would call, but location is not very permitting (AFG COP).

Your exhaust shipped back on 2/13. UPS is supposed to electronically email you with the tracking number. Roughly 33% of the time it does not happen. Your tracking number says that your exhaust will be delivered by the end of the day tomorrow. I will pm you your tracking number now. Thanks, Tony |

good day tony. . . I pm'ed you a day ago, I don't know if I sent it right or not. if not I can ask you again..
. I just wanted to ask, where is your shop located? I am just trying to see what is best, weather to get them shipped to 92114 san diego, or drive to your shop and get them installed there. Also, do you charge for the installation? |

Good meeting you yesterday agrotech, what did your car end up making?

You picked up almost 20 HP with easy bolt ons... that's not low gains lol
|
And a tune. Like I said, I was more disappointed before the tune... Which was needed anyway because my air fuel ratio was rich

Well if you drove the crap out of it for a few weeks then re-dynoed, you'd be closer to your post-tune number because the ECU would have had time to adjust. I never pay attention to or give any credence to "pre-tune" numbers because they don't really matter. A tune should (IMO) be automatic when you do anything beyond put a CBE or drop in filter on your car. Again, my opinion (supported by your experience), so to each his own. Glad you were able to get it cleaned up, you'll probably pick up another couple WHP over the next few weeks as the ECU fine tunes as well. |

Look at my mods list and then come talk to me about disappointment. I base lined at 270.

That being said with the mods you have the numbers are low all depending on what type of dyno your car was tested on. Every dyno reads different and some are heart break dynos. Generally the Mustang and Dyno Dynamics dynos read the lowest. The Dynojet is the most commonly used in the industry and the numbers are pretty standard. The Dynapaks generally dyno high however are one of the best for tuning. We have always performed our testing on a dynojet. On a 6MT we usually dyno right around 280 RWH & 235-240 RWT. Now without a tune and performed with many cars over the years, the average is right around 310-315 RWH & 255-258 RWT. This is all in STD mode on the dyno. These numbers I am giving you are for our CBE and HFC's with stock intakes. All of this being said, once you put 150-200 miles on your car the ECU will have cycled through and adjusted for the new mods. You will feel a difference throughout the entire rpm band. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to call me directly. Thank you, Tony |
Thanks Tony. The numbers i provided were the STD readings from a dynojet. I thought the pull was supposed to be in 5th as well, but im pretty sure it was done in 4th.. I have an AT.

Thanks for the feedback. Your drivetrain loss is also 5%-7% higher with the AT vs. the MT. Your overall numbers will be lower. It seems like your baseline was done in 5th and your current test was performed in 4th. If that is the case you do not have an "apples to apples" comparison. Please keep me posted to what your finding are. Thanks, Tony |
It was 4th last time too.. last march. Evidently 4th is the gear to run in up to 125 mph for n/a cars... or so I'm told.

Do some hard driving between now and then on the best fuel you can find. That'll be sure you run in the learned fuel data as well as can be done before you test again. |
Of course I wait 12 weeks and then the day it is supposed to be delivered we get over a foot of snow :ughdance:
